Mad Hatter 

I was so impressed with this trip! Capt and Deckhand were absolutely incredible to fish with. The entire day was geared towards us catching the fish we were after! They did an incredible job of working their butts off to try to please us and they did a phenominal job and then some! my son will never forget this day and neither will I! I will be booking again and again probably ever opportunity I can. It was a nice vessel and very accommodating. Fishing wasnt bad either, Ill post pics so that you get a better glimpse 😊

I booked an 8hr trip for my family my 12yr old son 17yr old daughter and her 17yr guy friend and my wife and I! This was the first trip out to sea for the majority of them and knew it was a gamble not knowing if any or all may not be able to handle being out at sea! Capt. Blake and his 1st mate Houston did everything they could to make us as comfortable as possible. The boat had A/C i used it for the hour or so ride to get out to our first spot I took a short nap! When we stopped at the first spot instantly as soon as the bait hit the water we started catching fish. We caught quite a few and after a few hrs couple of our group started feeling a little green but we fished on. I advised the Capt that we probably shouldnt go out much further even though i really wanted to catch at least one big fish I didnt want to risk any of them getting any worse. The Capt took us to several other spots where the water wasnt rolling as much or heck he may have bn controlling it by manuvering the boat! We were still catching fish. We managed to stay almost the entire 8hrs & I told the Capt we could head back in there was no hassle given he said that he understood and gave everyone a pat on the back for sticking it out as long as they did! Afterwards the 1st mate cleaned our catch and gave us a few instructions about keeping the fish fresh! The Mad Hadder and crew are TOP TIER people and awesome to hangout with and chat while fishing. Even got to see a huge sea turtle! If anyone is looking for a great time catching fish with great conversation this should be your first choice. Thanks Captain Blake and First mate Houston for a trip that me and my family can cherish for the rest of our life! Look forward to coming back and fishing with you guys next time we are down in OB!

Captain Blake and first mate Houston are amazing. we caught red snapper, bonito (shark bait), trigger fish (had to return to the sea, they were not in season), and another type of snapper (forget the exact name), just a beautiful time with my wife. can hardly wait to do this again. Thanks so very much for the memories, Captain Blake and first mate Houston.

Blake put us on the fish. I caught a Spanish mackerel, caught some Trigger, and a few red snapper. The red snapper was out of season so we threw them back. Houston is an excellent deckhand. We had the best time. I hope to do some more fishing with Blake and Houston again.

There was some weather concerns right before we arrived but the weather ended up cooperating. Caught some fish (never enough though). It was a great experience for my family of 4. I would definitely recommend

Capt Blake and first mate Houston had us catching fish for nearly the entire 5 hour trip. We caught more grouper, snapper, and mackeral than we could eat. They were a lot of fun and very personable.

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Captain Blake and First Mate Houston were absolutely outstanding. From the moment we stepped aboard, Houston kept our group taken care of with fresh bait, constant attention, and a great attitude throughout the trip. He worked hard to keep us baited up and ready for that elusive Red Snapper and made sure everyone had a great experience at the same time. The boat itself was comfortable, and having air conditioning in the cabin was a huge plus on such a hot day. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is what happened at the end of the trip. The onboard generator overheated, which is understandable given the extreme heat and constant use of the air conditioning. However, after the trip, we were told to simply pack our fish in our own cooler, and there was no offer to clean or fillet our catch for transport. I’m sure Captain Blake was busy repairing the generator for their next trip. Houston will make a superb Captain.

We caught a good bit of fish and had a good time. Would definitely recommend the Mad Hatter when fishing out of Orange Beach or Gulf Shores.

Took my wife and step-son out for a 10hr trip. Captain Blake was very friendly and worked hard to get us on the fish. We didn’t catch as much as we had hoped but it wasn’t from a lack of trying. Captain Blake threw everything he had at the fish and they were just not biting for us or any of the other boats. Even still we caught our fill of red snapper and an amberjack and trigger although we couldn’t keep those as they were out of season. The interior of the boat was very nice! And the couch was very comfortable. Took a couple naps on it while we were out. Overall I would book with Captain Blake again.
