If you're ready to get hooked on fishing in Puerto Morelos, come on board 'the kraken'
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Bohar Snapper, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, and anything else that bites. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
The kraken is a 25' Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat. Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. Remember to bring snacks, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Some drinks will be offered, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

Caught a morning charter with Captain Alex on the Kraken, and very glad i did. the boat was clean and well-maintained, and Captain Alex and the crew were professional and focussed on getting us fish. Great piloting skills even through some rougher water, and rigs & rods were constantly checked and cleaned. We hooked up on a large wahoo, which was an incredible fight.
Captain Alex did a great job working to put us on fish. We had one fish on, they said Mahi Mahi, but it came off befote it got to the boat. Changed a lot of bait that looked to be have bites. Water eas rough for the 25ft Kraken, but Captain Alex kept it upright. It was fishing, not catching- which happens. I'd go again!

We tried for some big fish in the deep but were unsuccessful so captain Alex brought us over to Cancun airport to find a hotspot of barracuda. great half day of fishing!!
