Badlands Charters is located in the Luckiest Fishing Village in the World – Desitn, FL – and offers to show you a memorable time in the rich waters of the Panhandle.

Captain Ryan Reed aims to tailor every trip to your needs, so let him know what you’re after! Depending on the trip and species you want, you’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, big game fishing, and jigging. You’re looking at 4 to 8 hour trips, where you’ll go after the likes of Snapper, King Mackerel, Amberjack, Dolphin, Cobia, and Grouper, depending on the weather and time of year.

Your adventure begins on board a 32’ Sea Craft center console that can fit a maximum of 6 anglers. The boat is fitted with a toilet and ice box for your convenience, while the price of your trip also includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water. As for fishing licenses, everything will be taken care of by the captain so you don’t have to worry about them.

You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip, and the captain will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home when you get back to the dock.

Exactly what we needed

Half Day Trip (Early Morning) on July 9, 2025 • 3 adults

4 hour AM trip. Phone call the day before planned out the experience. We wanted to catch some fish to eat and also hook on something for a fight. We did just that. The Captain kept bait on the hook, removed the fish from the line and cleaned the catch after. Great time had by all.

My girlfriend and I’s red snapper was awesome! Captain Ryan put us on a hem in no time. Even caught a few scamp grouper although they were right under the size limit and had to release. All in all I would highly recommend Captain Ryan with Badlands Fishing Charters. He was great and treated us very well. I definitely going to book with him again in the future. Captain Ryan was excellent! Very knowledgeable about the area and where to find the fish! It was a great time and I highly recommend if you’re getting a charter you book Captain Ryan with Badlands!

We had a wonderful experience with captain Ryan & crew. I can’t say enough good things about Ryan. He was great with the kids, very patience with a couple of first timers, very knowledgeable about the gulf waters, and was able educated us on any question we had about fishing. 6 hour trip with Capt. Ryan

3/4 Day Trip on June 30, 2023 • 2 adults • 2 children

Capt. Ryan was great! We took a 6 hour trip and went about 20 miles offshore, where the other charters, only take you 10 miles out, on a 6 hour trip. He was very patient with our kids. More importantly, patient with me, because I can be, sometimes worse than the kids. He was cool, calm, and confident about his fishing spots, because that can cause more run time than fish time. We even did some off the beaten path fishing when we seen action hitting the top of the water, or on the Garmin. We caught nice Snapper, A Vermillion, A Mingo(Mango-lol) and some Mahi, Mahi. We told stories, laughed and picked at one another. Great guy and Caprain. Well Capt. RICK, I hope this gives you an anglers choice!lol But really All true! Thanks brother, we had a blast!

Captain Ryan put us on fish right off the bat and was a steady bite for most the trip. He did everything expected and more to make our trip memorable and get us something to take home for dinner. Will book Badlands in the future was a great experience. Caught several different species of fish, saw dolphins and sea turtles. Captain Ryan answered all our questions and helped my family keep their lines in the water. Thanks for taking care of us.
