Capt. Fred will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 2 to 4-hour trips, mainly fishing for Flounder, Bass, Seabass, Bluefish, and Weakfish, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, bottom fishing, drift fishing, gigging, handline, jigging, and spinning.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 24' Key West boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers. This boat comes with a toilet, an ice-box, and a wireless trolling motor.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip.

Coral Reef fishing with Captain Fred.
3 Hour Trip – Tautog (back bay) on August 21, 2023 • 3 adultsI was looking for a sendoff for my younger son, who is leaving for college this fall. When discussing this with him, he asked to go fishing. I booked with captain Fred because of his reviews and his business name. I was grateful to have this opportunity with my two sons and also I had jammed out at a few dead shows many moons ago. Captain Fred was perfect. He was accommodating to our needs from the day we booked until we docked after our trip. Captain Fred‘s boat had everything we needed and the short ride out to the coral reef, about 20 minutes, was comfortable. Once we got out there, captain Fred set us each up with a rod and patiently taught us each the ropes. Fishing is like life there are no guarantees. But it was evident as we started to fish that it was guaranteed that captain Fred was gonna do everything that he could to make sure that we enjoyed our experience and came home with some fish. It took us some time, but that mission was accomplished with each of us, catching fish of different sizes and in different manners, but at the end the day, we all had a memorable fishing experience. When we returned back to the dock captain, Fred cleaned the fish that we were able to keep based on the state guidelines and I’m looking forward to frying it up tonight. Unfortunately seasons coming to an end, but I’m already looking forward to booking with Captain Fred Fred next summer

4 Hour Trip – Ocean Reef (PM) on July 28, 2022 • 2 adultsCaptain Fred was awesome. I took my son out for his 1st ocean fishing trip... Captain Fred was very attentive to all our needs. He ( being the experienced fisherman) had a line in the water to catch and then turn the rod over for someone else to have the thrill of reeling in a fish!! My son caught 4 fish and that's all that mattered to me . We will be back to charter or perhaps utilize Capt Fred's Sunset cruise outings. Congrats to your daughter Sam.. and from the bottom of my heart I say thanks for the day and memory for my son.

it was a true delight to meet Captain Fred, and go out on his grateful Fred fishing trip. The morning was absolutely wonderful. I wanted for nothing and Fred was a gracious host and captain who graciously shared his fishing knowledge to improve my catch. Thanks FredI look forward to going out again very soon . oh and especially thank you for the great Grateful Dead music you played for us on the trip. It made a great trip even better.
