Local species include Redfish, Black Drum, Spotted Seatrout, Sheepshead, Flounder, Bluefish, Ladyfish, Weakfish, and more, depending on the time of year. For these fish, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Don't forget to bring snacks to keep up those energy levels!
Capt. Michael will bring you aboard a 23' Robalo bay boat that holds up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

My husband and I had a great time and caught so many fish! We would do it again! Captain Mike was a great instructor and guide—very knowledgable about fishing and the local fish. It’s a great trip for any level of fisher. The breeze off the harbor is wonderful by itself, so adding fish to the mix is a great way to spend a few hours! The boat was very clean. Mike even filleted our fish for us.
what can I say, we had an absolute blast with Michael. The beers were flowing, the tunes were blasting and the fish were biting. I’d book again in a heartbeat, if you want a real vibe then book with Michael.

Our family of six (4 kids ages 6 to 15) can be a lot... Captain Michael was patient, interactive, knowledgeable, and made sure that everyone was included and engaged. our youngest became the bait manager and our older kids caught all the fish. if they weren't biting then we found a new spot. We highly recommend Michael and Straight Line Fishing!

Captain Mike down right refuses to not catch fish! He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the areas we fished and the species that we targeted. Great personality to be around and constant shared laughter. My wife caught the biggest fish (of coarse!) and Captain Mike was right there celebrating with us. Highly recommend booking a trip
