Bottom Line: Captain Drew put us on to some awesome fish in multiple locations. We had an outstanding trip in spite of some windy conditions. We caught mackerel, trout, jack, mangrove snapper, and lots of snook.

Pre-trip: Captain Drew was very responsive to my questions before the trip. Always answered quickly. Our original booking was on an extremely windy day (15 gust 25) and it wouldn’t have been fun (or safe) to go out in that. We were able to work out an alternate time with better weather.

Trip: 2 person 4hr afternoon charter with my 7 year old son.  Captain Drew met us right on time at the boat ramp and we departed immediately on our charter. First fishing location was deeper inland water where we caught trout, snook, and a Spanish mackerel. Captain Drew showed patience and helped instruct/coach my son who hadn’t ever used an open face reel. He set him up with a large bobber and my son caught the mackerel on his own!

We then moved into a few mangrove locations and caught bunches of snook, snapper, and 2 jack! My son hooked the first jack and I had a snook on at the same time. Captain Drew was quick to jump in and help my son land the fish that put up a huge fight the whole way. I caught the second jack and it put up a 5 minute fight before landing him. Such a fun experience!

Captain drew was always helpful to take pictures and keep both lines going. The day was still pretty windy, but he handled the conditions with ease and we had a very fun and successful afternoon trip. We kept the mackerel and snapper and had them cooked at the Bimini Bait Shack adjacent to the ramp.

I highly recommend Captain Drew as a fishing guide. Captain Drew did an incredible job guiding me to a wonderful day on the water. Captain Drew is truly knowledgeable fisherman and he put me on fish all day long. I was able to catch a verity of fish and was wonderfully coached along the way. Captain Drew put me on big fish, I was lacking the skill. despite my lack of skill, I still had fun and caught plenty of fish. This was truly a great fishing experience, and I was able to spend good day on the water with a fellow fisherman. Can’t wait to fish with Captain Drew again.

We met Capt Drew for 4 hr charter and had every experience we wanted.  This was our first real fishing experience other than simple pond when he was muxh younger.  We caught around 15 fish which was great for us.. Capt Drew took time to explain casting technique, locational structure, catching technique and was of treasure of experience. He spent a lot of time telling and listening to stories.  We felt very confident in his guidance. The highlight was catching a jack fish and hearing him ” talk” to us on his capture.

Captain Drew overcame tough conditions and worked very hard to give us a great fishing experience.  He was nice enough to take us on VERY short notice after our other scheduled charter was cancelled late the night before.  He took us to several different spots to find different types of fish, taught us a lot about fishing in general, adjusting types of bait needed, and really just helped us have a ton of fun.  Will definitely look him up again next trip!
