Ocean Hunter Charters welcomes you to the stunning waters of Homer.
These waters are known for Halibut, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Black Seabass, Cod, Lingcod, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. On the day of your trip, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
You'll be fishing aboard a 28' Koffler aluminum fishing boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Capt. Keith will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. It's always wise to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Keith was great, when others stayed in closer, he took us out quite a ways and put us on some bigger Halibut right away. We caught our limit of any size and then went in a little ways for the ones 27" or less. We caught our limit of those pretty quick as well. While others were still out searching for their first fish we had our daily limit for all 4 of us. Weather was perfect and we couldn't ask for a better a day or experience. Thank You Keith!
thank you now enjoy the fish. hope to see u again

Captain Keith was great and he definitely knows what he's doing. He's very knowledgeable and even though he shared it was an unfavorable season for fishing, he still put us on some great spots and we walked away with 9 halibut and 4 cod. The boat was clean and the trip out was gorgeous. We appreciated how straightforward he was and everything he did to ensure we got a great catch.
Enjoy the fish an i hope to see you all again

Was slow at first, but Captain Keith did his best to get us over the halibut and he did! Was definitely worth going with Keith and would do so again!!
thenks buddy. i wish you all the best and hope to see u down the raod someday soon

We were told this captain never came back to port without Halibut, maybe we would be his first. But, Kieth worked his butt off, keep us out of the seasick causing rough water and we limited our. If I could rate this trip higher than a Five. I'd certainly do it.
