These waters are known for Halibut, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Black Seabass, Cod, Lingcod, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. On the day of your trip, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are never a bad idea to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
You'll be fishing aboard a 28' Koffler aluminum fishing boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Capt. Keith will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. It's always wise to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We booked the same boat 2 days in a row 1st day full day halibut 2nd day was supposed to be salmon and halibut. On the 2nd day the majority of the day was spent on halibut and we were only given an hour and a half of trolling for salmon which is why we booked that day extra. The cost of Friday's boat was more than Thursday's boat because we were doing the salmon fishing which we really did not get to do. Capt. Keith is definitely a very nice guy he worked his butt off to get our halibut for us we were just disappointed in not really getting our salmon fishing.

some days you just run out of time. if the weather was better in the am that would hsve been the case and some onr lost one. hope we do better next time. i think as far as I know we were one of the only boats to land a king that day. best regards Captain Keith

Fish weren’t biting that morning, you could hear several captains on the radio trying to find where theywere biting. Captain Keith kept working on different spyand we finally landed some fish. he stay out there til we got our limits which i know he didn’t have to but we all really appreciated the extra effort he put in for us to catch our dish

thanks buddy. yeah that was a tough day of fishing. I gave it my best fishing as far from port and several spots to come home with small fish. You guys put a great effort in as did I. Ihope u come again and the fishing is bette. I went the following day to our last spot and did great. IDK. there fish and dont bite all the time
Capt Keith was great and put in a huge effort to get us on the fish. He cared about making sure we had a great experience and he delivered! He was friendly, entertaining and such great company! It was a fun day. We look forward to our next trip back to Homer and will definitely be fishing with Capt Keith again!
Keith was great, when others stayed in closer, he took us out quite a ways and put us on some bigger Halibut right away. We caught our limit of any size and then went in a little ways for the ones 27" or less. We caught our limit of those pretty quick as well. While others were still out searching for their first fish we had our daily limit for all 4 of us. Weather was perfect and we couldn't ask for a better a day or experience. Thank You Keith!

thank you now enjoy the fish. hope to see u again

Keith was great. He worked hard to get us halbut despite the weather and the tide that were definitely working against us. Because of his knowledge and skill, we caught our limit. We had a fun group on the boat and laughed hard as well. Lots of fish and good times!!!
