Running angling trips out of Crystal River, Salty Day Fishing Charters invites you to check out the local inshore fishery in style.
Capt. David will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in light and heavy tackle bottom fishing, all to get you on that bite. This involves 5 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Cobia, Grouper, Sheepshead, Flounder, Speckled Trout, depending on the season and conditions on the day. For the adventurous person, he offers Shark trips that will for sure keep you coming back for a bigger tug.
Your boat for the day will be a 24' Ranger Bay that fits up to 6 anglers at any one time. The boat comes with a ice box, wireless trolling motor. When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price.
No need to worry about fishing licenses, as they will be provided and handled by the charter. You can keep anything you catch, as long as it's legal to do so.
Want to bring the rest of the family along for the ride? Kids are welcome aboard, so you're free to make it a family adventure. You'll find free drinks on the boat for your convenience, but you're always welcome to pack your own drinks and snacks should you want to.

Absolutely incredible experience with Salty Day Fishing Charters! Captain David never gave up and stayed after it until we found fish. You can tell he truly cares about making sure everyone has a great time and gets the full experience out on the water. The highlight of the trip was doing the catch and cook on a local island — hands down one of the coolest experiences we’ve ever had. Fresh fish cooked right there, amazing atmosphere, and memories we’ll never forget. If you’re booking a trip, you should absolutely do the catch and cook option. True five-star experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Me and my grilfriend took a trip to crystal river for our first vacation and have never fished flordia waters, we went through many caiptans and charter in between the bad weather thats been happening, and David was the best captain around to make sure we got out on thw water. He taught us everything we needed to know, helped us with parking, taking off fish, putting on bait, gave us water and sodas all around the best and only captain ill ever book with when it comes to are next trip i would TRULY make sure you book with him before anyone else best man out there hands down !!!

We had a great fishing experience with Captain Dave! He showed up right on time and had us out on the water in no time. Dave took us to several prime spots, taking the time to explain what types of fish we were targeting and the best techniques to hook them. He let us do all the hands-on fishing, stepping in to help when we needed it. As our first guided fishing trip, it was an awesome experience. We reeled in quite a few fish (even if they weren't all keepers!) and we will definitely be booking with Captain Dave again next time.

Captain Dave is a professional angler. He took the time to explain the area, what fish types of fish were biting and some tips to catch them. We started catching fish at our first stop. I caught a flonder on my first cast. We caught 10+ different species of fish. At the end of the day Captain Dave cleaned our fish and gave us some cooking tips. Be sure to get a bottle of his Salty Day blackened rub. It truly adds to the meal you are bringing home.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 1 day before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
