Running angling trips out of Crystal River, Salty Day Fishing Charters invites you to check out the local inshore fishery in style.
Capt. David will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. He specializes in light and heavy tackle bottom fishing, all to get you on that bite. This involves 5 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Cobia, Grouper, Sheepshead, Flounder, Speckled Trout, depending on the season and conditions on the day. For the adventurous person, he offers Shark trips that will for sure keep you coming back for a bigger tug.
Your boat for the day will be a 24’ Ranger Bay that fits up to 6 anglers at any one time. The boat comes with a ice box, wireless trolling motor. When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price.
No need to worry about fishing licenses, as they will be provided and handled by the charter. You can keep anything you catch, as long as it’s legal to do so.
Want to bring the rest of the family along for the ride? Kids are welcome aboard, so you’re free to make it a family adventure. You’ll find free drinks on the boat for your convenience, but you’re always welcome to pack your own drinks and snacks should you want to.

Great trip on the Salty Day fishing charters. Great day fishing, a little rough, but you can't control the weather. Captain was great, caught fish, had a great time with family and everyone caught fish. Alot of jokes and laughs with the family and captain. A enjoyable trip, will be booking with Captain Bob in the future, 5 stars all around.

My family and I went scalloping for the first time. We didn't know what to expect but surprisingly it was quite easy. Captain Dave and his dog River were the best crew that we could possibly imagine. You all had a great time and tons of scallops to come home with. Captain Dave knew exactly where to go with the most abundant amount of scallops I was coming up sometimes even with five in my hand and one little location dive. I would highly recommend Captain dave and River for all your outdoor water needs. We're looking to make this a trip that we do every year when we come to Crystal River.
Thank you Captain Dave for the most amazing time for my family. We appreciate everything you did for us, see you next year or hopefully sooner.

Originally from Florida, I fish with a lot of inshore and nearshore charter guides when I come back to visit family. It is far easier and even cheaper to do so than to bring my own boat with me from over 700 miles away.It is easy to spot a good fishing, captain and charter right off the bat.This captain, was by far, one of the best that I have fished with over the past 15 years. Excellent day on the water. Caught many species of fish, and even a few to bring back for dinner. I will definitely book with this captain again in the future.

It was a perfect day for fishing with Captain Dave. Clear skies, calm waters and he had us on the fish. He was very knowledgeable on where to find the fish. Even what fish would be in each spot.
