Depending on the season, weather conditions, and what species you would like to focus on targeting, Captain Cheyne can put you on fish from up to five miles out of Port Canaveral to deep in the Thousand Islands area of Cocoa Beach.
One of the things that is unique about this charter service is the versatility in locations to fish. Places you can go fishing include the Indian River Lagoon, Banana River Lagoon, Sebastian Inlet, Port Canaveral, and the beaches in between.
Here in the Space Coast, each season presents new and exciting opportunities. It's great to pitch live and artificial baits under mangroves, docks, and other structures within the river. This tactic typically provides trophy Snook, Redfish, Trout, and Tarpon year round. This way of fishing also comes with the excitement of the unknown. Changed the location knowing the fish were further south then where we had initially plan to launch. gave us a great opportunity to catch a big snook, but unfortunately lost it on my part. After they stopped biting he switched gears and put us on some nice size Redfish. He also went out before we got there to catch bait fish, so we could spend more time fishing. Great time overall!

He put us on fish and as soon as it would die down we moved to another spot. He kept us on the fish the whole time and we caught so many we were throwing them back.

Captain Cheyne helped us have a great day on the water. He was very patient with my 12 year old son and helped him all morning. We got on some tarpon early and my son landed a very nice one. After that, we went looking for reds and caught some nice ones. Cheyne was great and I would definitely book with him again.
