Reelin Shores Fishing Charters is located in Port Hardy and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters. Tell the crew how you want to spend your time and it will do everything it can to deliver.
Capt. Lloyd will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 8 to 10-hour trips, mainly fishing for Salmon, Halibut, Shrimp, Crab, and Snapper, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, and jigging.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 23’ Duckworth boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers. This brand-new boat comes has been outfitted with high-speed downriggers as well as a Crab/prawn trap puller. It also features the best in sonar/downscan and fishfinding technology, a new radio, comfortable top-of-the-line PFDs, a wireless trolling motor, and a toilet.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. Also, the crew has prawn and Crab pots available for clients.

Early Season Salmon Fishing with Captain Lloyd (Reelin’ Shores)
10 Hour Trip on April 15, 2025 • 4 adults
Went out with Captain Lloyd for some early season salmon fishing and had a great time on the water. We managed to hook one solid Chinook, and while the salmon action was just starting to heat up, the prawns were plentiful! We pulled up traps full of prawns, along with some snap lobsters and a good haul of crabs — definitely made for a feast afterward.
Captain Lloyd was a blast — knowledgeable, easygoing, and kept us entertained the whole trip. He clearly knows the waters and has a real passion for what he does. The trip was also very reasonably priced compared to others in the area, which made it even better.
If you’re looking for a fun, productive day on the water (with a few laughs along the way), Captain Lloyd’s your guy. Would definitely go again once the salmon are running heavier!

Great guide and fun day on the water

Lloyd is a very knowledgeable and excellent fishing guide. He knew where to fish and what catch catch in each location. He was very patient with me because I am first time fisherperson. He is a great teacher and conversationalist which made the day just fly by! Lloyd even put out crab and prawn traps so we had a bonus to take home at the end of the day! Thanks Lloyd!!
My only recommendations about his boat are to have a bathroom which is not possible and chairs to sit in on the back of the boat. It was awkward to sit in the cabin all day and watch the lines and could be more comfortable with chairs closer to the fishing rods.
