When angling with Capt. Dean, you will fish out of a custom 20’ Big “O” Bass Boat. The vessel is the Elite X model built exclusively for your captain. This first-class custom bass boat also boasts a 115 HP Mercury Pro XS engine.

She can easily take 4 anglers after Largemouth Bass — one of the most popular freshwater sport fish you can catch.

Depending on the angler’s skill, time of year, and abundance of fish in different areas, Capt. Dean will start his fishing trips from different locations. Of course, upon booking, you will be informed in detail where your angling adventure will start.

You will use high-quality Lew’s fishing equipment. The captain will provide everything — reels, rods, lures, ice, drinks, as well as photos of you with your catch. If you want to fish with live bait, it is possible, but for an additional charge.

You will also be covered by the Gators guarantee: if you don’t catch any fish, you don’t pay for the trip!

I have been fishing for half a century — since I was 5, and I've been a captain for over 25 years. After 10 years of being a professional golfer, I had to succumb to my true passion, which is, of course, bass fishing! I also love taking anglers out on the lake and sharing that passion with them, teaching them tricks and tips of the trade as we fish.

Miserable

This trip was booked for a birthday present for my father’s 75th birthday.

First of all,  I woke up at 2:30 AM and drove 3 1/2 hours to meet the captain at 6:15.  We sat around and didn’t leave until after 7 AM.

Then, by 7:30AM. I’m the captain had insulted my father to the point where he did not want to fish anymore.  The captain made no point to reconcile with my father and the entire trip was miserable.

Also the captain told us that he had the wrong kind of bait for what the fish were biting currently.  It seems to me that if we did not have the right BA bait to catch the fish we probably should have gone out another day.

The overall experience was as if we were booking the trip for the captain’s benefit and convenience and not our enjoyment.

Bret they say a picture is worth a thousand words. This is the fish you caught 10 minutes after your father blew up at me trying to help him learn how to throw a spinning reel as he appeared not to know how. I have given instruction to thousands of clients over the years and have never had a client respond like your dad. He yelled that I wouldn’t tell him how to do anything and I could take him back to the ramp. I was stunned. This was after being on the water for a total of roughly 10 minutes. I explained I was just trying to help as it seemed that he didn’t know how to operate the spinning reel. His response again was I wasn’t going to tell him how to do anything. So at that point I felt that we should just fish. In reference to the bait I had explained to you that the bass were feeding on a very very small Shad at that time and we were just trying to match the hatch. I am sorry that you guys dident have a good time like every client that I’ve had in the last 26 years. Yes the fishing was slow but thanks again for the $20 tip after we fished.

Fishing with Dean

Went fishing with Dean today, had quite a few strikes, landed a nice one right away, Dean is a class act, puts you on the fish, all you gotta do is catch em. I would recommend him for your future trips and I would definitely book him again.

6 hour trip with Dean Puller

Cold front came through the night before our trip and we had bluebird skies but we still caught about 15 bass. None were below 3.5 pounds with the largest going 6 lbs.
