Galveston has a fish with your name on it, so let Galveston Charter Fishing help you catch it! Captain Kat & William will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from their local experience.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Black Drum, Bluefish, Skipjack, Cobia, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Gag Grouper, Jack Crevalle, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Blue Marlin, Red Snapper, and whatever else takes the bait.

On these trips, it's common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.

Children are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!

Your trip begins aboard a 33' Sportfishing that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.

Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Galveston Charter Fishing!

5 Hours Bay and Jetty Trip
5 Hour Trip – Bay and Jetty on June 8, 20238 adults

What a great day! Captain Jim did everything he could to make sure we had a great trip (even though we had a kiddo throw up on the boat!) and Ryan and Jacob worked really hard to put us on the fish and make sure we had baits in the water. We had to abandon our first spot due to it being too rough for the 6 and 7 year old on the trip, but not before we landed a nice-sized jack! Then we went to a calmer spot where we hauled in some catfish, a nice spinner shark and had a chance at a couple more sharks. Everyone was super patient and encouraging for the kids, which is exactly what we hoped for - they even let them "drive" the boat on the way in and gave us extra time to try and make sure we caught as many as we could. All said, fishing is fishing and is never predictable, but even though we didn't land huge amounts of fish, everyone had a blast and mentioned it as one of the highlights of our trip. Lots of crews can put you on the known spots and catch you a few fish, but I can't imagine anyone provides a better experience. We hope to be back someday!

14 hour blue water
14 Hour Trip – Bluewater on May 27, 20238 adults

Overall great experience crew was very nice and helpful, patient with new and even sick fisherman, caught a lot of red snapper and shark unfortunately snapper season wasn’t upon us, and king fish we’re late on the season but the crew tried their hardest to find us fish to fight such as shark, ling, and snapper, crew were great company the entire time great sense of humor! Would recommend but definitely do research on seasons and what’s biting on your trip!

Charter Fishing at its BEST!
10 Hour Trip – Bay & Jetty on May 22, 2023

We feel extremely lucky that the family at the beach rental next door had used this Captain last summer. We were able to book this charter on short notice thanks to the referral. The boat exceeded our expectations. The crew members were helpful and friendly, answering all our questions and anticipating our needs. We could not have picked a friendlier group. We will see you in late August.

Half Day
5 Hour Trip – Bay and Jetty on June 9, 20238 adults

Our family had a great time catching Sharks. Only advice I have is if you’re bringing family and friends be sure to pick up motion sickness pills. 3 of 8 of us was sea sick. They all are okay one of them caught 3 Sharks while he was sick. Ain’t stopping him from catching them. Highly recommended. I’ll book them again whenever I come back this way.
