Up Above Adventures
If you’re in the market for a day to remember, look no further than Up Above Adventures. With the captain at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Swordfish, Tilefish, Red Snapper, Grouper, and plenty more. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 55’ Viking sportfishing vessel with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect. Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Up Above Adventures!
