Running angling trips out of San Diego, Lucky Charm Charters invites you to check out the local fishery in style. She is the largest and most comfortable private charter that accommodates up to 12 anglers in San Diego.
Our crew are here to get you on fish, and to make sure you have fun doing it. The Staff has over 50 years of local fishing experience in Southern California. You’ll be using techniques like light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, big game fishing, bow fishing, drift fishing, jigging, kite fishing, popping, depending on what you’re going after. As part of their 22-hour to 4 day trips, you can target species like Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Yellowtail, Dorado, Halibut, Seabass, Lingcod, Marlin, Mako, Thresher, depending on the current season and weather conditions.
Your boat for the day will be a 86’ Douglas Sharp that fits up to 12 anglers at any one time. The boat comes with 4 bathrooms, ac, ice box. Starlink Internet, Direct TV, Playstation for the kids, full surround sound, high end stereo throughout the boat The Yacht was made for long range and comfort.
When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price.
Fishing licenses aren’t included, so make sure to get them prior to the trip.
You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip. If you would like your catch processed and shipped to your home we can arrange that as well.
Gratuity is not included but very well appreciated.
You’ll find free snacks, drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on the boat for your convenience. Our fulltime chef Kevin will serve Prime Rib, Lobster, Pork Chops, Sushi, Crab, you choose, kindly tell your Captain your food preference ahead of the trip and it will be served.
This is a children-friendly business, so bring your loved ones to share these memories with. We offer a 5% discount to groups with Veterans.

What a vessel
I would like to comment about this fishing boat as a top notch operation! The boat and amenities are laid out very well! Being a experienced Tuna fisherman from the north east.I have caught my share of blufin tunas and this fishery stands right up there with some of the best in the world! MAYBE not as big but super plentiful! I think the reason the boat and crew does so well is because the owner is a bluefin tuna fisherman and not just someone that owns a boat and rents out for charters! Full Day Trip with Captain Spencer
Captain Spencer & the 2 crewmen were very friendly & pleasant. We paid $6000 for this full day fishing experience. The boat restrooms & galley area were not clean. The supplies stocked on the boat were marginal. The crew said they "were not sure what happened as someone else stocks the boat." We spend more time looking for fishing spots rather than fishing. Others we know came back with numerous fish & we can back with 2. We should have stayed longer in the area were we initially caught the tuna. We felt the crew was a last minute fill in with limited time to prepare. The communication from Brandon prior to the trip was fine although the contact # he provided for Captain Spencer was not a working #. We were not told to purchase Mexican fishing license so we had to purchase those at the last minute which made us late leaving the dock. Parking in the area is very difficult. We arrived by 5:30 a.m. & the parking lot where you pay $15 was full. Allow plenty of time to park! We would not recommend this booking. Definitely not worth the price.
