Capt. Juan Sergio is a local obsessed with fishing, and his mission is to provide you with an experience you'll never forget. He specializes in trolling, jigging, and popping, and he'll go above and beyond to exceed your expectations. This involves 3 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Amberjack, Tuna, Spearfish, Trevally, Wahoo, and Grouper, depending on the season and the length of your trip.
Your adventure begins on board a 29' Oceania boat that can fit a maximum of 5 anglers. This sporty fishing machine is fitted with a toilet, ice box, fighting chair, and wireless trolling motor. When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. A trip aboard this incredible vessel might be the highlight of your time in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day, and you can keep anything you catch as long as it's legal to do so. The price of your trip also includes complimentary snacks and drinks, but you're welcome to bring your own. Please let the captain know if you have any questions or special requests. This was our second time booking with him because last year’s trip was such a great experience, and once again, he didn’t disappoint. We caught two bonito and two amberjack, which made for an exciting and rewarding day on the water. One of the highlights of the trip was spotting flying fish gliding across the waves. Captain Sergio's knowledge and his friendly, professional approach made the entire experience unforgettable. Captain Juan comes from a long line of local commercial fishermen. Fishing runs in his DNA, and he loves all types of fishing. At age 19, he started nautical studies to follow the family tradition but always focused on recreational sportfishing. Captain Juan is passionate about every aspect of fishing, especially fishing with lures, from jigging and spinning to big game and trolling. He also loves fishing with live and dead bait.
