About the Captain

Adrian Arcay
Costa Adeje, Canarias, Spain
Member since July 2016
Captain Adrian Arcay loves to fish, and his passion eventually led him to start The Rodfather Tenerife Fishing charters a few years ago. Although they are a relatively new addition to the charter industry, both Capt. Adrian and his deckhand have made a great name for themselves, with The Rodfather being known as one of the most famous and successful boats in the area. In June 2016, they competed in the 16th Deep Sea Fishing Championship on La Gomera Island, where they placed 2nd out of 30 boats. Capt. Adrian and his crew always give their all to put their guests on the best catch, while providing them with a quality service and a fantastic day on the water.

Absolutely brilliant - would reccomend to anyone! My boyfriend likes fishing back in England but I myself have never tried it before and to be honest always thought it would be boring. The two men on the boat were very friendly and even stopped the boat for us when we saw whales and dolphins which was amazing. The sea was choppy the day we went out so unfortunately we didn’t manage to catch any big fish but Adrian let us stop the boat in some smaller fish areas for a couple hours and everybody managed to catch some fish!!! I was very happy with all my catches, including some puffer fish!! (I am the most clumsy person going so don’t think you will not catch anything if you go). They also do snacks and drinks on board. Beautiful day out. (Also not to long so kids wouldn’t get bored).

We did not catch today but the skipper could not have done anymore to try and find us fish. We did see dolphins and a beaked whale what we were told is rare to see so wasca bonus. Would definitely go again but early in the year.
