Jody's Guide Service welcomes you to Elberton, Georgia on a fun-packed day full of fishing. Captain Jody Powell guides on Clark's Hill Lake and Lake Russell and will make sure you have a lovely day on the water. The captain is licensed by the US Coast Guard and has got over 25 years of fishing experience. Join aboard and make some great memories on the water!

Your group and the captain will start your journey on a 22' Triton center console that can safely sit up to 4 anglers. Powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine, it will quickly take you to the best fishing spots on the lake. The boat comes with a livewell in order to provide you with live bait.

On your trip, you'll be fishing for Striped Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass using light tackle. You'll be keeping all the fish you catch to take home and enjoy some tasty meals with your family or friends. Kids are more than welcome to join your trip, so bring them along and have a wonderful family day on the water.

Captain Jody will supply all the needed fishing rods, reels, tackle, and live bait. When the trip is over, the captain can clean and fillet your catch completely free of charge. Before you come aboard, just make sure to bring your licenses as well as some snacks and drinks.

I'm 64 and this was one of the Best fishing trips I have ever had! Jody is the Perfect Guide, dedicated, hard working, laid back and willing to answer our questions most guides would never do. He even hooked up planer boards to show me how they worked after I asked about them, they worked so good I bought a pair at his bait shop, Jody's Bait Shop, where they have nice, lively Blue back Herring we used that day and other things for your day on the water. After 10 minutes on the water with Jody it felt like had known each other for years, just a real down to earth person that will do EVERYTHING possible to make sure your trip is the best ever. we caught 6 different species of fish between the thee of us and took home our limit of stripers and hybrids. We also caught a white bass, spotted bass, largemouth bass, and a perch. Thank You Jody and you all need to give him a call, you won't regret it. Thanks, Mike Marciel. P.S. We'll see you again Jody, keep a tight line.

Great fishing trip on lake Thurmond with captain Jody!

My dad and I had a great time with Captain Jody catching a good mix of hybrids, stripers, catfish and even a largemouth. Bite started off super hot early in the morning and tapered off later in the day but this was what I expected when talking with Jody about recent fishing trends on Thurmond. Jody is a very nice guy and easy going which made for an overall great day on the water! My dad and I both left satisfied and would book with him again.
