Nashville Fishing Guides - Striper Live Bait
If you're looking for the ultimate hybrid striper fishing experience on Percy Priest Lake, our live bait trips are in a class of their own. These trips are designed for anglers who want the highest-quality experience, the best odds at trophy fish, and nonstop action from some of the hardest-fighting fish in Tennessee.
What truly separates our live bait program from the competition is our bait quality and how we handle it. We catch fresh live bait at the beginning of every single trip because nothing triggers aggressive stripers and hybrids like lively, healthy bait. Many guides catch bait hours—or even days—ahead of time and leave it sitting in tanks. The moment bait enters a tank it begins to weaken, lose energy, and become less effective. Weak bait catches fewer fish. It's that simple.
Captain Brian has spent years perfecting the process of catching, handling, and keeping bait alive and healthy throughout the trip. We constantly monitor bait condition, stay mobile, and put in the extra work required to keep the action going. That means more running around the lake, more effort behind the scenes, and ultimately more fish in the boat.
Our trips are built for anglers who don't want an average fishing trip. Nobody wants to be the group sitting there wondering why the boat next to them is doubled over catching fish while their rods are silent. We work hard to make sure you're the boat everybody else is watching.
Using advanced electronics, proven techniques, and the freshest bait possible, Captain Brian consistently puts clients on aggressive hybrid striped bass and stripers known for explosive strikes and drag-screaming fights. If you want the best quality fishing experience Percy Priest Lake has to offer, this is the trip for you.

My wife and I went out on the boat with Brian today. He is a super friendly, funny and very knowledgeable gentleman. Immediately you can tell her is focused on the comfort and enjoyment of his trip. Willing to teach and a great teacher as well. The boat was very managed, clean and gear was super nice. We in fact did catch a lot of fish yet even if we didn’t the experience alone was super worth while. I cannot recommend this trip enough to anybody interested. This really was the best trip we have had before and walked away with some great sized hybrid bass! With confidence I can say from start to finish the trip, captain and enjoyment of the day exceeds any expectations. Thank you so much Brian. You’re awesome!

My son and I had a great morning with Bob. My boy caught a beautiful striped bass - very nice size - as well as other fish. We did trolling only and that made for a great morning. The reservoir was really nice - lots of forested areas around - and quite big. Next time we'd sign up for the live bait option.
Our daughter just turned 12 and she asked to go fishing. She had a blast catching around 13 fish all together one hybrid being around 6 to 7lbs. She kept thanking my wife and I for such an amazing experience. Thank you captain Brian for creating such a special memory for my family and I. It is also good to know you are also available during December and January as fishing experience could make for a great Christmas present.
Thank you for the grest review.

We went out this past Tuesday Morning, it was around 26 degrees outside, the water was cold. It was my me, my grandma of 88, and my dad. We had never been to TN before, and with the cold we were definitely nervous. Brian made us feel welcome as soon as we pulled up to the doc. We spent a few minutes searching and Brian leaned a little on the community of Anglers who fish J Percy Priest. And before we knew it, we were into some amazing hybrids, were all in the 6-7 pound range. We even caught some pure white bass trolling out there. He kept us warm inside and out, and was patient as we fumbled around in the freezing temperatures. I mean, we are CA, I thought we were gonna die, but we did quite the opposite and even under the same conditions would definitely do again!

Captain Jerimiah was incredible for my trip! I had one mission and it was to catch a Hybrid Striper bigger than my previous biggest (1lbs 10oz). Jerimiah took me out to a spot where we jigged for White Bass and Hybrids. At this first spot, we saw tons of fish on the live scope and, unfortunately for me, I didn’t catch anything jigging. We did not jig very long however, but it was long enough for Jerimiah to get in a White Bass and a Yellow Bass. We went to check out a few other spots with no success at any of the other spots, so it didn’t take long before we found ourselves back at our first spot. This time, we decided to troll. It did not take long at all into trolling where we got a fish and it happened to crush my previous biggest Hybrid by over 3 lbs. Less than 10 minutes later, the rod went again, and I ended up pulling in 2 Hybrids on the exact same rod at the same time! Both Hybrids were good size and each about 4-4.5 lbs. Half an hour after that, I beat my new biggest Hybrid again, setting at just over 5 lbs. Less than half an hour after that, I landed a big White Bass and the other pole had gone so Jerimiah got it, leaving us with a fun double-up selfie! Eventually, the Hybrid bite slowed and the small White Bass took over and the trip was over! I had so, so, so much fun on this guided trip! Jerimiah and I talked about fishing and his guiding, and now… I’ll be back out on the water with him soon! I’m not 100% sure yet when, but I’m definitely looking at my schedule to see about going out on another trip with him in the next month or two!
I enjoyed it! Thank you for the review!
