Pacific Offshore Charters is owned and operated by Captain Andy Karlovic. Its mission is to provide a safe, educational, and fun fishing experience in the great Pacific Ocean around Garibaldi, Oregon. It doesn’t matter whether it’s your first offshore experience or you’re a seasoned veteran, Captain Andy and his crew will show you a good time regardless of your fishing knowledge or skill level. Meet them in Rockaway Beach and embark on your next fishing adventure.

Captain Andy and his boat, the ALJO, are ambassadors for Furuno, Uflex, Nomad Design Tackle, AllSalt Maritime, Burnewiin, and Smak Plastics. This 35 x 12’ JAMA Offshore Rage was built in 2022 and has state-of-the-art electronics with technology that hasn’t hit the market yet. High gunnels ensure safety while fishing 360 degrees around the boat. This allows for over 70’ of deck space to fish, which is more than enough room for a group of 6 people.

Safety is the crew’s number one priority. The ALJO’s safety features include: an 8-man life raft, offshore life jackets equipped with lights and whistles, Mustang Hydrostatic auto-inflate life jackets, a handheld VHF radio, and more.

On your trip, you can target Rockfish, Halibut, Albacore Tuna, and Lingcod. The choice of techniques you can use is wide, including light and heavy tackle, bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, trolling, and jigging.

Captain Andy provides top-class fishing rods, reels, and tackle, as well as lures. Remember to bring your fishing licenses before coming aboard and also pack some snacks and drinks. Catch cleaning is also available, feel free to ask the captain for details.

Hit the water with Pacific Offshore Charters and have a wonderful time in Oregon!

Great Time On the Water

VERIFIED

(Shared) Halibut/ Lingcod/Crabbing on June 24, 2025

Had a great time fishing for halibut, lingcod, and rock fish on Captain Andy’s boat. The captain is dedicated to his craft and makes sure everyone on the boat is set up well to catch fish, providing everything needed. Everyone on board caught a mess of fish and went home with plenty to cook for later (including crab from pots we had set). I highly recommend others join Captain Andy for a trip out if they can!

Great Bottom Fishing Day

VERIFIED
NEW

(Shared) Halibut/ Lingcod/Crabbing on July 9, 2025

The day started off slow with halibut fishing but Andy switched us over to Rockfish and Lingcod and the day quickly picked up. We filled our limits of rockfish and caught a few lings as well. Great day of fishing with great people. Would absolutely fish with Pacific Offshore Charters again.

Had such a good time out on ALJO with Andy. Fish were slow but he kept moving around so we could catch some. He did great with our youngest son encouraging him along the way which made the trip even more enjoyable. Prior to departure he was great at communicating with us about the weather and giving helpful hints to avoid sickness (which we did). Have to give him and Jeff 5 stars because 6 isn’t an option. Thank you Andy!

Had a great trip with Pacific Offshore Charters. Captain Andy and his deckhand Jim were helpful, friendly and professional. The state of the art electronics and local knowledge put us on the fish. We had a great experience and hope to do it again. I would recommend this operation to my friends and anyone looking for a good fishing trip in Garibaldi.

Andy’s the man! Great guy, and super knowledgeable. We picked a bad time to fish for our target species, but Andy made sure we didn’t leave empty handed. Ended up with lots of meat in the freezer. All my future charters will be on the Aljo. If you’re like I was, scrolling through charter guide options, congratulations. You are done looking.
