Crazy Banana Charters runs angling trips out of Tavernier and offers to show you a fun saltwater fishing experience!
Capt. Randy and Capt. Ray will do their best to ensure you enjoy a day full of fishing. He specializes in light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, and jigging, all to get you on that bite. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Mahi Mahi, Snapper, Grouper, King Mackerel, Snook, and Amberjack, depending on the season and weather conditions.
You’ll be fishing from a 34’ Venture boat with enough room for up to 6 anglers at any single time. It also includes a toilet. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water.
Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The Captain will provide bottled water, and feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks.
You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip. There will be a first mate on board to help you with anything you need. Tips for good service are always appreciated.
This is a children-friendly charter, so you’re welcome to bring your kids on for a fun fishing adventure.

Half-Day Trip with Captain Ray and Austin
By far the best charter we’ve done. Great boat and equipment. Very easy process and a laid back feel. We had great weather and calm seas. Limited out on Yellowtail Snapper and got a 40lb Black Grouper. It was nothing but action from when we dropped in until the end of the trip. We’ve definitely found our new charter boat for our yearly trip! I would highly recommend this crew to anyone!

Fun times in windy conditions
Capt Randy was great! Very nice guy and was open to fishing at several locations. We were able to catch plenty of fish for dinner even with windy conditions. The boat was clean and equipment was in excellent shape.

Mahi madness
The crew from the beginning were very welcoming and very detailed. The walk threw of the gear and the day was very helpful and there attention to detail was great. They did everything possible to make sure we had a great time and we sure had a blast with the icing on the cake being us limiting out on mahi. Will definitely be going back for round 2 thank you guys.
