Reef Runner Charters Key West 

Our experience was by far superior! We fished today with Capt Ricky and Our mate was AJ and they were absolutely phenomenal! They were real with us in timing of fish, expectation of what we could potentially see and get and even had a back up plan if it didn’t work out! There hard works and service did not go unnoticed! They worked their tails off today to land us some fish. AJ even let our little boy help reel in a few fish as well! Our little boy was grinning ear to ear! We caught 7 tuna and 3 barracudas and they were all great fights! AJ really knew when to reel in what to do when to stop reeling in and when we had 3/4 lines screaming he handled it with confidence! Ricky was so great at slowing down and constantly gave us opportunities to catch some great fish today! Beyond pleased with our experience

I had so much fun on my birthday fishing and them. They were is so knowledgeable about the fish in the area, and where to go to find them. We caught a variety of fish while we were out including Bonita (bait fish for later), Tuna, over 20 Yellow Snapper, Strawberry Grouper, Mutton Snapper and a Red Grouper. We got a shark and barracuda on the lines but they got away. It was our first time deep sea fishing and the captain and Edward made sure to show us everything we needed to know and were very patient and so much fun. I'll definitely be booking with them again!

Captain Edward and Johnny were a great team! it was fun watching them work together and coordinate from finding the fish to landing them. It’s always a great day being on the water but even better when you get to land a few fish. We caught a few Mahi-Mahi to start our day finished our 6-hour trip with back to back sailfish. Definitely one for the story books. Great crew, nice boat you can find some shade in when taking a break.

Our trip with Captain Edward on the Reef Runner Charter was more than a charter — it was a moment of healing that became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. He guided my children and I out to the deep blue waters to release my husband’s ashes The way he honored that moment, the quiet respect he showed, and the coordinates he gifted us so we can always return — it meant everything. We’ll always know the place where we said our goodbye. I also want to say how incredible the fishing was with the Captain and his first mate, John. The two of them made the day feel easy, fun, and full of good energy. They knew exactly where to take us, kept everyone comfortable, and turned a heavy day into one filled with laughter and memories. Captain Edward and John were truly outstanding. My children and I thank you!

Came to Key West to celebrate my son’s high school graduation and booked a trip with Capt. Ed based on his outstanding reviews. All I can say is that he has earned every single one of them. The communication leading up to the trip was top-notch, and the fishing itself exceeded our expectations. Capt. Ed and his mate took the time to explain every aspect of what we were doing and why we were doing it. It was easy to tell that their goal was to put us on fish, not just take us out, let us wet a hook, and call it a day. We booked an 8-hour trip, and thanks to their experience and knowledge of the area, we reached our limit in a very short time. The action was nonstop, and they worked hard to make sure we had a great experience from start to finish. If you’re unfamiliar with the Key West area and are looking to book a fishing trip, you will not be disappointed with these guys. Capt. Ed and his crew are true professionals, and I highly recommend them.

The bite was fair! The crew, however, did a most impressive job of finding fish for us. Capt. Edward and Mate Evan are very knowledgeable and absolutely tenacious. Their non stop effort resulted in our catching a wide variety of species, including big Red Snapper, Wahoo, and Sail Fish. Blackfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Yellowtail Snapper, and several other species rounded out the catch. Talk around the dock was that our Wahoo and Sailfish were the best catches on two days! The fellas were especially helpful to me as Im recovering from leg injuries and to my thirteen year old grandson! Nothing but good things to say about the trip! Moreover, the boat is very comfortable with padded benches with sun and rain protection, yet open with great visibility. All of us were impressed with our experience and highly recommend Reef Runner! Captain Ricky and deck hand Evan were fantastic! They put us on fish right away at the first spot. The bite was so good that we ended up staying there the whole time. We caught 16 keeper yellow tail, a bonnet head and large red grouper that would have been a keeper in season. We ate the fish that same night with a fantastic restaurant recommendation from Evan. Best fish I have ever had! Our group and I would highly recommend reef runners for anyone on the fence about booking a charter.

Had an absolute blast out on the water with Captain Edward and Ricky! We caught plenty of red snapper, yellowtail snapper, and mangrove snapper- definitely enough for a great meal of blackened snapper tacos later. We also had a ton of fun battling some big groupers and even a few goliath groupers (too bad we had to let em all go!). We even took a shot at catching some lemon sharks, which made the day even more exciting. What really made the trip stand out was how great Captain Edward and Ricky were with everyone on board. Some of us were fishing for the very first time, while others had a bit more experience, and they did an awesome job making sure everyone felt comfortable and had a good time. They were incredibly patient- especially when lines got tangled or when someone (definitely not me 😅) needed a reminder on the proper way to reel in when fighting something on the line. If you're looking for a fun, relaxed fishing trip with a crew that’s knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely wants everyone to enjoy themselves, I highly recommend heading out with Captain Edward and Ricky. It was an awesome day on the water and a trip we’ll definitely remember!

Wife approved a 4 hour trip on our honeymoon so we could fish in Key West. Evan and Captain Pete were excellent. Super calm and relaxed and they had great chemistry working together. told them we just wanted enough fish for dinner that night. Started the trip bottom fishing for snapper and found them quickly. Filled the cooler! We then went trolling for sailfish and mackerel. pulled in some nice mackerel and a bonita. On the last drift, I pulled in a large red grouper. what a battle! was out of season for grouper but had a hell of time reeling him in. Evan suggested we get the fish cooked at Hogfish and to have it fried. wife and i ate well and the fried fish was amazing. Great time on Reef Runner - hoping to be back again soon

I booked an all day trip, and I was glad I did because it took awhile to find the fish, but that can happen to anyone. We left early in the morning, which I appreciate. We trolled for wahoo early, but never hooked up with one. The Captain and mate actively sought out more fish, and eventually we got into a nice bunch of mackerel. Also caught snappers and jacks, a barracuda, and a very nice sailfish to top it all off. They adjusted tactics and locations until we had all the fish we could eat for 6 people and then some, then we tried for the sail and got one. It was awesome, thanks.
