  Our trip with Captain Edward on the Reef Runner Charter was more than a charter — it was a moment of healing that became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. He guided my children and I out to the deep blue waters to release my husband’s ashes The way he honored that moment, the quiet respect he showed, and the coordinates he gifted us so we can always return — it meant everything. We’ll always know the place where we said our goodbye. I also want to say how incredible the fishing was with the Captain and his first mate, John. The two of them made the day feel easy, fun, and full of good energy. They knew exactly where to take us, kept everyone comfortable, and turned a heavy day into one filled with laughter and memories. Captain Edward and John were truly outstanding. My children and I thank you!

  Amazing Trip!!!

  If you're looking for an offshore fishing charter in Key West, stop searching and book with Captain Edward and First Mate Johnny, you won't regret it! The fishing action was nonstop, with as many as 3–5 mahi on the lines at the same time! We booked the 6-hour trip, and they tailored the entire day around the species we wanted to target. Their knowledge of the local waters and fish behavior was incredible, and they consistently put us on fish. The boat was extremely comfortable and dry, even in 3 foot swells. There was plenty of shade during the ride out and anytime we weren't actively fighting fish, which made a huge difference on a hot Florida day. What really set this trip apart was Captain Edward and Johnny themselves. They were professional, incredibly friendly, patient, and worked tirelessly to make sure everyone had an amazing experience. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and truly want their guests to have the best day possible. We fish Tampa Bay regularly, and this was one of the most enjoyable charter experiences we've ever had. Between the nonstop action, outstanding service, and overall professionalism, we honestly couldn't have asked for a better trip. Our coolers were full, but more importantly, our family made memories we'll be talking about for years. That's something you simply can't put a price on. Thank you again, Captain Edward and Johnny, for giving our family such an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back!

  Great Fishing Experience!

  Came to Key West to celebrate my son’s high school graduation and booked a trip with Capt. Ed based on his outstanding reviews. All I can say is that he has earned every single one of them. The communication leading up to the trip was top-notch, and the fishing itself exceeded our expectations. Capt. Ed and his mate took the time to explain every aspect of what we were doing and why we were doing it. It was easy to tell that their goal was to put us on fish, not just take us out, let us wet a hook, and call it a day. We booked an 8-hour trip, and thanks to their experience and knowledge of the area, we reached our limit in a very short time. The action was nonstop, and they worked hard to make sure we had a great experience from start to finish. If you’re unfamiliar with the Key West area and are looking to book a fishing trip, you will not be disappointed with these guys. Capt. Ed and his crew are true professionals, and I highly recommend them.

  Amazing trip exactly as i wanted

  I booked this 4 hour fishing trip for my wife (non fisher but wanted to try it) and myself. I messaged the captain to ask if he could help my wife to fish, put us on a variety if fish and point out some of the local wildlife. He replied and was very helpful. On the day Edward did not disapoint. We saw dolphins and a turtle, various birds and a good variety of fish. Adam and Ricky the mates were busy all time setting gear and unhooking the fish we were catching. Very easy going and incredibly helpful. Great variety of fish from macheral to snapper, bonito to a bonus shark. They filletted the fish we wanted to keep and we took them Hogfish ( recommended by Adam) who fried them to perfection. An amazing trip and I would highly recommend them.

  Great Experience!

  Full Day Trip (8 Hours) (AM) on April 6, 2026 • 4 adults

  The bite was fair! The crew, however, did a most impressive job of finding fish for us. Capt. Edward and Mate Evan are very knowledgeable and absolutely tenacious. Their non stop effort resulted in our catching a wide variety of species, including big Red Snapper, Wahoo, and Sail Fish. Blackfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Yellowtail Snapper, and several other species rounded out the catch. Talk around the dock was that our Wahoo and Sailfish were the best catches on two days! The fellas were especially helpful to me as Im recovering from leg injuries and to my thirteen year old grandson! Nothing but good things to say about the trip! Moreover, the boat is very comfortable with padded benches with sun and rain protection, yet open with great visibility. All of us were impressed with our experience and highly recommend Reef Runner!
