As you draw away from the unspoiled Mauritius coastline aboard a great cabin cruiser, you'll know that you're in fishing paradise! Horizon Fishing is a family business, and with over 50 years of experience, they're happy to help you have an amazing time on the water.
The 42' D'unienville cruiser boat is fitted out for deep sea fishing, with two 220 HP Cummins marine engines, full navigational systems including an echo sounder with a color monitor, and a range of safety devices. There's a spacious deck for fantastic views of the ocean, a kitchenette with a microwave, an enclosed shower, toilet, and a spacious cabin.
You'll use some of the best quality fishing equipment, including Fenwick rods with Penn International reels, and a Penn downrigger. There are three fighting chairs on board, so you can reel in those monster specimens. If you want to take your catch back home and prepare a delicious meal, the crew will be happy to clean and fillet the fish.
Fishing trips involve trolling with live and artificial bait for Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Shark, Tuna, Bonito, Wahoo, and Barracuda, depending on the season. The biggest fish tend to be around in the warmer season from November to April, making this a great place to get some winter sun and go fishing.
The experienced team aboard Horizon never leaves the dock without a selection of good-quality lures and live bait to give them the best chance of attracting a bite. The crew considers every day to be a new opportunity to learn more, and they are enthusiastic about sharing this experience with you.

From the start to the end, nothing was to much for this team! All messages and communication was professionally handled. On arrival the captain met us at the jetty and introduced us to his crew. The crew were helpful, friendly and did there best to put us onto fish, and we were fortunate to get 6 fish, 4 different species! We didn't manage to get a marlin but I guess that's fishing. I definitely be back and without a doubt only use horizon as my preferred charter. Thanks for an unforgettable day out!
