For those who have never fished before or have little experience, the fishing guide will show you the basic skills. You'll be offered to use light or heavy tackle, depending on what you're going after. You're looking at 4-hour trips, where you'll usually fish the likes of Barracuda, Amberjack, Snapper, Yellowtail Amberjack, Jack Crevalle, and Grouper, depending on the weather and time of year.

Your vessel will depart from La Romana, the lee side of the island, where the water conditions are usually the calmest. The 56' Halvorsen boat has enough room for up to 25 anglers, and it includes a toilet and ice box. The boat ride to the fishing point will take 30 minutes. This trip is ideal for families with kids, couples, seniors, and those who are afraid to get motion seasickness. Bring the whole family along!

When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. As for fishing licenses, everything will be taken care of by the captain, so you don't have to worry about it. The catch you keep will be shared with the crew following the trip, and there will be a first mate on board to help you with anything you need. Tips for good service are always appreciated.
