The array of techniques employed during these trips is impressive, catering to the preferences and targeted species of the anglers. Whether it’s bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, spinning, artificial bait, or even fly fishing, Kenzi Boats adapts the approach based on the specific trip and the desired catch. This flexibility allows for a dynamic and engaging fishing experience.
The trip durations, ranging from 3 to 8 hours, offer options for various preferences and schedules. The targeted species are diverse, reflecting the rich marine life in the waters around Melbourne, FL. Anglers may have the opportunity to pursue Snook, Redfish, Black Drum, Trout, Tarpon, Jacks, Kings, Cobia, Mahi, Grouper, Snapper, Pompano & Sharks. The selection of species depends on factors such as weather conditions and the time of year.
You’ll be fishing from a 24’ Sea Hunt boat, providing ample space for up to 4 anglers. The boat is equipped with an icebox and a wireless trolling motor. All necessary fishing gear is included in the trip price, and Capt. Ken is there to guide you through its use. Fishing licenses are taken care of by the captain, and you are free to keep all legal species caught during the trip.

Heyyyyyyy Chef, like the size of that King Mackerel?
The legend Chef Strimple, Bellowed out from his chest, “man the bait lines, watch for schools of bait fish. Make sure you’re consistent when you’re into the fish. Don’t lose the momentum. If you want a CHANCE at that trophy fish, you have to catch what they like. You have to put in the work.” All I could think of in reply at that moment was, “Yes Chef”, I do want that fish, I do want my kids to see the process, I do want THAT chance at catching something awesome. These are the sounds when on a charter that I want to hear. Voices echoing over the waves movement. Lines dragging and planers diving. Teaching about what to look for, what to pay attention too.”how to fish in the environment you’re in. Chef Strimple is a man that if he was in the kitchen would have that title. He is a chef of his environment. I appreciate the time, energy, and genuine caring nature of his personality. He want you to catch, he wants you to be successful, but also be mindful. Great time!
Took my 6 year old daughter on this fishing charter. Ken was very good with her, helped her catch fish, and answered all her questions. We also saw a lot of cool sea creatures including birds, dolphins, and a manatee that swam up to the boat.
