The Bay Bandits – Gulf Coast Fishing

Capt. David is here to get you on some fish and to make sure you have fun doing it. You’ll be using techniques like trolling, drift fishing, jigging, and popping, depending on what you’re going after. As part of their 8-hour trips, you can target species like Redfish, Black Drum, and Sheepshead, depending on the current season and weather conditions.
Your boat for the day will be a 24’ Blazer Bay that fits up to 6 anglers at any one time. The boat comes with a wireless trolling motor. When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. Fishing licenses aren’t included, so make sure to get them prior to the trip. You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.

Dave was great awesone trip, knowledgeable, professional, and he delivers the fish! He packed a full day of exciting fishing into the four hour trip. He told us what the plan was and he delivered. He was great with my sons 13 and 11. He worked with my older son while I helped my younger son. Dave was coaching him to learn a technique new to him to catch a certain species of fish. He was calm, encouraging, and easy going. He delivered on some fishing memories for a lifetime. Will definitely be booking trips in the future. Class A operation, top notch equipment and heck of a Capt. Dave's not gonna let a catch of a lifetime get away from you if he can do anything about it. If Dave can't get it done, it was just one of those days when the fish weren't biting or you can't fish! I promise ya that! 😉 Thanks again Dave!

Fun day catching Sharks and Reds!
FULL DAY on August 4, 2023
Captain is very laid back, fun to be around and really knows how to fish! We started by catching bait fish to use for Shark fishing. Once we got enough in the boat, we went to a spot and almost immediately we started reeling in sharks, it was amazing. The biggest was a 44-48” Bull shark. But we caught more Bonnet heads than we could count, but we did not keep any of them, just got pictures and turned them loose. The we put 4 Reds in the boat and one we had to tag because it was so big, we kept those. It was fun non-stop action for us and meanwhile boats all around us were not having the same success! If you want a great day on the water I highly recommend the Bay Bandits! Beginners, veterans, it don’t matter, Dave will take care of you!

Day began with a heavy rainstorm that had me thinking it was going to be an awful day, but we went out and had the most exciting time!! Dave put us on a LOT of fish for nearly 5 hours of constant action! My son and I stayed busy the entire time! Caught a 5 foot bull shark, lots of catfish and ladyfish and large bull red that was 43 “ and very heavy…. Would HIGHLY recommend this guide for fishing the Bay! I took my Son's and Granddaughter out to try to catch some Bull Red's and Captain David did not disappoint! We have been out with a lot of guides over the last 20 years but we have never had as enjoyable a trip as this one. Other guides have focused on Redfish and Speckled Trout and never never considered fishing for something else if we limited out of fishing was tough. We enjoyed catching a lot of different species, including 3 types of shark, as well as each of us getting our first Bull Red's. Looking forward to our trip back in October and maybe a trip in February for Sheepshead. Great trip and highly recommend you get something booked, you will not be disappointed.

To say that we had a great time would be an understatement, yesterday our trip was just fantastic - I can’t say enough good things about our Captain Dave & our trip! From the second we got to Froggies til the minute we got off the boat at 9pm…Worth every single penny! Dave is a professional in every sense of the word! He went out of the way to get us the fish we wanted to catch! He took us right to the spot where they were and caught them in no time… Dave knows what he’s doing, he has top notch equipment and he was great company! The boat was a a beauty and i was impressed with every so single part of this trip… and I have some pretty high standards, I’m not easily impressed. Dave you rock! This was my second time fishing ever, and I caught several sharks and a 40 in redfish. Dave helped me and explained everything to me. So I felt confident about what I was doing! My boyfriend broke his record and caught a 44 inch redfish! And a HUGE BULL SHARK. We had so much fun, can’t wait to go back! Don’t waste your time with anyone else. This is where it’s at!!!
