Based out of Port Douglas, AKULA Sportfishing is your ticket to a memorable time on the water.

Come on aboard with AKULA, whose main priority is to get you on some fish. Expect to use techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, jigging, popping, and spinning, based on the species you’re targeting. Speaking of which, you have the option of 4 to 8 hour trips, where you’ll be fishing for the likes of Coral Trout, Cobia, Sweetlip, Mackerel, Queenfish, Trevally, Red Emperor and Nannygai, depending on the specific season and the day’s weather.

Your boat for the day will be a 24’ Marlin Broadbill that fits up to 5 anglers at any one time.

All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing.

You’ll be able to keep any legal species caught on private charters.
