If you’re here to make the most of fishing in Playa Flamingo, look no further than Vela Vivaz Sport Fishing. With Captain Felipe at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.

Amberjack, Yellowfin Tuna, Horse-eye Jack, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Roosterfish, Cubera Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Trevally, and more are in the cards, depending on the time of year. During the trip, you might be spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Felipe also offers fly fishing.

You’ll be welcome aboard a 23’ Regulator center console with space for 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip. You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don’t leave home without sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.

Now, come aboard with Vela Vivaz Sport Fishing and get hooked!
