Spider Boat
Spider Boat invites you to experience the stunning waters of Culebra. With Captain Jean Carlos at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Around here it's common to catch Amberjack, Broomtail Grouper, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Cubera Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, Roosterfish, Mahi Mahi, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 36' Maverick sportfisher with room for 7 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks provided on board.
