Running angling trips out of West Bay, Y-knot Charters invites you to check out the local fishery in style.
Capt. Andrew aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you’re after! Depending on the trip and species, you’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, and jigging. You’re looking at 4 to 8-hour trips, where you’ll usually go after the likes of Marlin, Dolphin, Wahoo, Barracuda, Snapper, and Tuna, depending on the weather and time of year.
Your adventure begins on board a 36’ Intrepid boat that can fit a maximum of 8 anglers. The boat is fitted with a toilet, an ice box, and a fighting chair.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Don’t forget to buy a fishing license before the trip!
The fish you keep will be shared with the crew following the trip, depending on the day’s catch and the species caught. Please get in touch with the captain if you have any questions.
Capt. Andrew runs trips together with his first mate, who’s there to help you with whatever you may need. Tips are always appreciated for a job well done.
There will be complimentary drinks aboard for your convenience during the trip, but feel free to bring your own drinks or snacks if you prefer.
Book your trip now and hit the water with Y-knot Charters – 36’ Intrepid.

Half Day Trip (AM) – Deep Sea
We were not sure if we would be catching much, but the group really wanted to fish, and we had 8 and definitely wanted AM. Y-Knot wasn’t our first choice, but by time of booking it was only AM trip with enough good reviews available (most reviews attached to their 38 footer, but 36 was cheaper and apparently faster so a better choice). Captain Andrew and first time mate Thacher were great. Either Andrew really knows his stuff, or we got really lucky. 12 black fin tuna and one small Mahi Mahi. Andrew arranged for Morgan’s to prepare it for us for a reasonable price for a wonderful lunch of sashimi, ceviche and blackened and grilled tuna. Would definitely us them again. Choose the 36 foot.
