These waters are known for giant Halibut, King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Chum Salmon, Cod, Lingcod, Black Rockfish, sharks, and more. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Fish caught during the trip are yours to take home, so long as they're within the legal limit.
You'll be fishing aboard our custom Alaskan charter boats with plenty of room for 6 passengers. Sate of the art fishing equipment keeps you on the fish! Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! This trip is a five star rated trip and one of the top things to do in Ketchikan. We provide a safe and fun fishing environment in calm waters. Drinks and snacks will be available for you.
You'll need to get a local fishing license before the trip, and if you're salmon fishing from June 15 through the month of August, you will also need to purchase a King stamp. This information is available online, or you can ask the captain.
The charter operator can help arrange processing for your catch. with a local third-party processor. They will fillet, vacuum seal, and flash freeze the fish, which can then be shipped to your home.

Great captain and equipment! Fine fishing day!
EXCLUSIVE SALMON FISHING - 4HR (AM) on July 14, 2025 • 4 adults
Captain Tony took us first to jig for rockfish, and we caught our limit quickly. We trolled for salmon next. The salmon were more elusive, but we caught a silver, pink, coho, and king (which we couldn’t keep as nonresidents), and we landed a lingcod! So we took 10 fish to be processed and shipped home. We chose this over the cruise ship excursions and are so glad we did. Communication has been excellent from the time we chartered some months ago. Could not have been smoother and we were blessed with great weather…saw some bald eagles and a humpback whale pretty close by. Our captain was knowledgeable, personable, and took care of everything. Boat was new and gear and lines were in perfect condition. Couldn’t ask for more.

Great fishing trip in Ketchikan! We booked through Ketchikans Finest Fishing charters while on our Alaskan cruise and had a great time. Salmon were going strong on July 13th and we put 25 in the boat on our 8 hr trip. If you have the time, would recommend the 8 hr trip to allow you to get further out, if that's where they're going. Their company has great customer motto of doing their best to ensure a successful outing, and Grayson worked his tale off to keep lines in the water while the bite was hot. While spying other boats around us, can testify that we were outfishing them. Cant ask for more then that. Grayson gave my boys and I, lifetime memories. Highly recommend their services.

My family of 4 (12,15, 2 adults) had a great time! Captain Grayson was awesome. He was attentive to all of us and really focused on making the most of our time on the water. In the 2 hours we were fishing we caught 9 fish! We have done other fishing excursions booked through Fishing booker and this was by far our best experience. My only negative was that the posting lead me to believe there would be a bathroom on the boat as well as snacks and water, but nothing was offered to us or shown where to find those things. Fortunately, my family was prepared. We ate and used the facilities before departure because thats how we travel. Overall it was a great trip and we would definitely book again! Thanks Captain Grayson for the memories!

Grayson was our captain and did a great job of taking care of us and putting us on fish. He asked on hhe way out what we would like to catch anf if we were keeping them. That was when he decided where we would go and ehat we would be “trying” to catch. And he did not disappoint! We caught several halibut, cod, a couple of sharks and a dog fish. He was very helpful and attentive and kept the boat clean. Great experience and very personable! We would highly recommend!

BEST HALIBUT FISHING 4HR - 8:00 AM on July 29, 2025 • 5 adults
Lucas did a great job for us. Always kept the lures going and bringing us to great fishing sites. Helped us get a great eagle picture too. Then to top it off we watched whales making bubble nets when we came back to Ketchikan. Super fun trip. Clean boat.
