QM2 Sport Fishing is the first choice for experienced and novice anglers alike. You will experience the thrill and excitement of sea fishing in stunning Costa Rica.
As you depart you will experience breath-taking views of the sunrise over the Pacific waters as we prepare for a private fishing charter. Meet your captain Pedro on the deck then set off to a hot spot to drop anchor a little way off the coastline. The Pacific Ocean is home to some of the best fishing grounds in Costa Rica making it an ideal location to catch big-game fish.
Costa Rica’s coastline is home to a rich diversity of marine species including Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Mahi-Mahi, Rooster Fish, Sailfish, Snapper, Wahoo, and Yellowfin Tuna. Our highly skilled crew can draw on years of local knowledge to find you the very best locations.
You will be able to take advantage of the following onboard facilities & services: Marine toilet & privacy, Wi-Fi connection for Live streaming with friends and family, Bluetooth music, alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages & snacks, Penn International fishing rods and reels as well as 3-1 Lowrance Sonar Fish finder with GPS. You can also have 4k Drone video publishing options.
We will provide all the tackle, rods, and bait to make your trip a memorable one. Our cabin has ample room for storage of personal belongings for guests to use. There will be life vests and a safety check prior to departing. You will be able to keep your catch of the day.
We offer full day, three-quarter, or half-day fishing trips which can safely accommodate up to 3 guests. Perfect for friends or family.
Please note: Fishing licenses are required on all sports fishing charters. They can be purchased online from the Costa Rican Institute for Fishing & Aquaculture (INCOPESCA) and are available in either English or Spanish. If require any assistance please let us kno

Half Day Sport Fishing
Half day trip with Captain Ramero
What an experience! A very professional and very friendly and personable outfit. Captain Ramero speaks perfect English (and Spanish) and has been doing this for more than 14 years. Before we took off he asked what my goals for the day was, and I replied catching tuna. And if the tuna is not biting, we can maybe try some for some other species such as snook. Staying in constant communication with other boat captains, he made sure that we stayed where the action was. Both my wife and I had a blast catching tuna! A very knowledgeable captain and a well equipped boat that includes a head made for a memorable day fishing. And a large cooler with beverages kept us hydrated. Thanks Capt Ramero and owner Mike, we will be back!

3/4 Day Sport Fishing
Service, quality and attention to detail makes a difference
Captain Fredy was the best host in Guanacaste. We booked a 3/4 day fishing trip was just right. My family and I caught 2 Mahi Mahi and or 1 grouper fish. Fredy used Penn International rods and reels as advertised. Plenty of drink and watermelon. We saw jumping mata rays, dolphins and one turtle. Amazing experience for me and family. Thank you QM2.

December fishing trip
We booked a 4 hour offshore fishing excursion with Captain Fredy. We caught a 2 mahi mahi and missed out on 1 marlin. Amazing fishing experience using high end equipment to fish. The whole experience and process was awesome. I highly and most definitely recommend booking this fishing trip with Fredy with QM2.
