The sun is brutally hot here in the desert southwest in summer time. PLEASE consider booking a night trip to avoid getting cooked like a lobster. We can catch a ton of fish, pretty much have the lake to ourselves and we won't get sunburnt! It is quite safe cause the lake has lighted navigational buoys all around AND I've been night fishing this lake for years.

Capt. Ray aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you're after! Depending on the trip and species, you'll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, bow fishing, spearfishing, and spinning. You're looking at 6-hour trips, where you'll usually go after the likes of Striped Bass, Catfish, Smallmouth Bass, and Carp, depending on the weather and time of year.
You'll be fishing from a 19' Tracker boat with enough room for up to 4 anglers at any single time. It also includes a wireless trolling motor. There's an option to accommodate more people using a different boat, if you'd like to do so, please get in touch with the captain beforehand.
When it comes to rods, reels, and terminal tackle, everything you need is included in the price. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time. Either an Arizona or Nevada fishing license is fine and can be purchased online.
You are welcome to keep what you catch just remember to bring a cooler with ice.
You'll find free snacks, and drinks on the boat for your convenience, but you're always welcome to pack your own drinks and snacks should you want to. Just remember no alcohol or glass containers.
The meeting area is about 30 miles from the Vegas strip so plan on about an hour drive time.

He knew exactly where the fish were holding, and his communication throughout the trip was top-notch. He also had great conversation with us the whole time. He was easy to talk to, and his Passion for fishing was contagious. Only hiccup was the FishingBooker app, it was a little clunky and confusing to navigate. Try and look for Cap Ray elsewhere to find out about different locations & boats available. That said, we do appreciate that it did let us find him in the first place. Overall, a great trip! We caught fish and had a blast. Would absolutely book with him again!

Night Time Striped Bass Fishing on August 31, 2025 • 3 adultsWhen people think of coming to Las Vegas they think of the lights and flash of the Strip. But, as a local it gets old fast. When my parents came to town I wanted to give them an experience they would remember. Captain Ray delivered. We got to cruse the beautiful shoreline of Lake Mead during the day and enjoy the tranquility of Lake Mead at night. Mix that with the adrenaline pumping action of hooking into a striper, it’s not an experience I will soon forget. Captain Ray was professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and very accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone who t an experience they will not soon forget.

Night Time Striped Bass Fishing on March 16, 2025 • 2 adultsYou’re not gonna have a good time if you book with anyone other than Captain Ray. Not only is he knowledgeable but he is very patient. It will sound crazy on paper but it’s experiences you have to go through to get the full hooked on strippers experience. He stayed out late and took us to the Hoover damn as well as started the trip late for us. He’s an all around good guy and wants you to have a good experience. He puts a lot of effort into his trips and it shows. You book with Captain Ray, not only will you catch lots of fish but you will have a captain for life. He is truly one of a kind. I’ve been on over 10-15 guided boat tours all over the country and parts of Southern Asia, and it was just as good if not the best experience I’ve ever had on a guided fishing trip.
