Steckel Fishing is here to help you experience the stunning waters of Callville Bay. With Captain Cody at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Striped Bass, and more could be biting if you come at the right time of year. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. You’re welcome to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 20’ Nitro Bass Boat with capacity for 3 passengers. It has all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can’t go wrong when you bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is not allowed.

6 Hour Trip
We caught 104 fish in 6 hours!
We broke the boat record catching 104 fish on a six hour charter with just my girlfriend and I. It was her first time fishing and she caught the largest fish (10.5 lb carp). Steckel fishing was the best experience I have ever had in 43 years of fishing! Captain Mike was amazing, the pontoon boar was immaculate, it was shaded so were not burning in the sun, he cleaned the fish afterwards, provided cold waters and ice, and made sure we were having the best time! We are already booking again with them in the future!

If anyone is looking for an experience that is professional, personable, and knows their art, Cody is this. He is everything you would ask for in a captain and his knowledge of the lake, ability to find and catch fish and overall skills are remarkable. I would ask him to make a trip to any lake and have him captain again. Truly was a beautiful experience. 5 stars +1 for delivering past our expectations.

6 Hour Trip
40 plus fish
First six cast with top water and I caught six fish. The day continued to be awesome. Catching stripers, smallmouth and largemouth. Not only was the fishing off the hook the scenery was cool as well. Am going for another trip for sure.

What a Catch!
The experience the me and my boys had with Cody was nothing less than amazing. We fought with game fish, reeled in a tournament size small mouth, and took striped bass dinner for 6 home. Cody was great with the kids, put us on fish immediately, and was an overall pleasure to spend the day with. I will definitely be back for round 2!

Very fun and knowledgeable!
Capt. Cody was genuinely nice and helpful. Educated on the area and fishing techniques. We had a very successful and comfortable day on his pontoon. Plenty of space and shade if needed. Plenty of fish too! If you’re looking to fill a cooler or take plenty of pictures, he’s your man. Would definitely go again and recommend.
