Advocate SportFishing is located in Yorktown and offers to show you a fun-filled day exploring Chesapeake Bay!
The professional captain and crew’s main priority is to get you on some fish. Expect to use techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, popping, and spinning based on the species you’re targeting. Speaking of which, you have the option of 4 to 8-hour trips, where you’ll be fishing for the likes of Redfish, Bass, Spadefish, Black Drum, Flounder, and Cobia, depending on the specific season and the day’s weather.
Your boat for the day will be a 24’ Privateer that fits up to 6 anglers at any time. The boat comes with an ice box. All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on fishing. As for fishing licenses, the captain will take care of everything, so you don’t have to worry about it. You can keep anything you catch as long as it’s legal to do so.
The captain runs trips with his first mate, who’s there to help you with whatever you need. Tips are always appreciated for a job well done. If you want to bring the rest of the family along for the ride, kids are welcome aboard, so you can make it a family adventure.

Big Cobia
It was really hot- like 95. We didn’t catch a lo of fish because of the heat. The Cobia we caught were hugh,45”- 50” long. Wow

Great day on the water!
Captain did a great job trying to find the fish for us. And we didn't leave empty handed. It was fun-grandson had a great time. Fishing in 4 hours was enough time. Captain and mate were very nice and helpful. Can't wait to do it again!!
