Running angling trips out of St. Helena Island minutes from Fripp Island, Boogie Man Fishing Charters invites you to explore South Carolina's Lowcountry fishing these waters!

Capt. Patrick is here to share everything he knows about fishing and provide a great experience. You'll be using techniques like bottom fishing, jigging, popping, and spinning, depending on what you're going after. As part of their 3 to 5-hour trips, you can target species like Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Shark, depending on the current season and weather conditions.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 24' Pathfinder boat that can safely take up to 4 anglers. This boat features an ice box. The price of your trip includes top notch Penn reels , St. Croix Rods and terminal tackle you'll need for a productive day on the water. No need to buy a fishing license ahead of time. We've got you covered!

You'll be able to keep any legal species caught during the trip. We also offer fish cleaning at the end of your trip.
The boat will be supplied with bottled water for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own drinks. Children are welcome aboard, so you're good to get the young ones started early.

3 Hour Afternoon Trip on April 7, 2026 • 2 adults

Great day on the water! Despite the windy conditions Patrick put us on the fish quickly catching so many I lost count. At least 12 Redfish and 2 Black Drum. Patrick is high energy, knowledgeable, and friendly who will make your trip successful. Nice boat and sensitive high end St. Croix rods were perfect to help make the day go well. Can’t go wrong!

solid action from start to finish. all sizes of reds caught from keepers to great photo op fish for release. the captain did a great job making the most of our time great trip and want to go again. this trip is good for all ages but experience casting in smaller windows is a big help

5 Hour Trip on September 14, 2025 • 2 adults

We hooked on some big ones this morning!! 😍😍🙌🏻 We caught five huge reds today, all above slot. (Shane 4- his biggest was just shy of 31 inches, Shelly 1- 29 inches) Then Shane hooked a red and that massive sheepshead that were keepers! (along with two whiting to keep). I caught a speckled trout and a few more smaller reds. Oh and a few lady fish. Over all our captain/charter put us in all the right places this morning! We had the best time. Roughly 25-30 total. Highly Recommend! He was very knowledgeable and knew right were to take us and land fish.

4 Hour trip on July 2, 2025 • 2 adults • 2 children

We have fished this area often but never really had a lot of luck. This year during our annual trip to Harbor Island, we booked a charter with the Boogie Man and it did not disappoint! Patrick was incredible! We hit spots that gave us some good fights with 30 inch red drums and 3-4 foot sharks! We also were also able to catch dinner! We caught over 20 monsters and were able to keep 4 that Patrick filleted for us at the landing! Patrick was very patient and attentive to the kids ages 5 and 12. This was a wonderful experience! We made great memories that will last a lifetime!

Fantastic Voyage!

Captain Patrick was an amazing host and put us on some great reds within minutes of getting on the water. His knowledge is thorough, his boat and equipment are top notch, and he knows exactly where to go to catch whatever you desire. Best of all, Patrick is an all around great guy and was fun to be around for the entire five-hour trip. Good conversation, good music, and a totally appropriate atmosphere for one and all. He provided a fantastic fishing experience for me and my sons, and I highly recommend him for anyone wanting to have a great time catching BIG fish!
