Fishing around here will often see you targeting various species, but these 6, 8, and 12-hour trips are focused on only one, the magnificent Tarpon! If you’re looking for a challenge, a Tarpon charter will deliver just that. These giant creatures know how to fight, sometimes weighing up to 200 lb. During these adventures, it’s also common to hook Hammerhead and Bull Shark.
Your boat for the day will be a 24’ Pathfinder, perfect for fishing on the bay and shallow waters. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this, so you know if you’ll be catching it during the trip. You’ll target trophy Tarpon by sight fishing, and the captain will advise on the gear and guide you through the journey.
Fishing on these trips is strictly for sport, and the Tarpon will be released. The charter boat covers your fishing license, so there’s no need to buy one.
FL Gulf Coast Charters is a child-friendly charter service. You’ll want to bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water or drinks. Snacks are also a good idea.

6 Hour Trip – Tarpon
Ray just loves to fish
I had a great day on the water with Ray and Shane. Although we didn’t hook any fish, it wasn’t for lack of trying. I’ve never had a guide work so hard to get me on fish. He’s extremely knowledgeable of the area, has great equipment and will work as hard as humanly possible to have you be successful. What more could you ask? If I had tomorrow off and he was available, I’d go fishing with him without hesitation.
