Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Spotted Seatrout, Black Drum, Pompano, Mangrove Snapper, and who knows what else! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask, and your captain can tell you more.
On the day of your trip, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. You're free to keep some of the fish you catch so long as regulations allow it. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned, so keep a cooler ready in the car. The charter boat covers your fishing license.
You'll be fishing aboard a 22' Bay boat with space for 4 passengers. It comes with and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it ahead of time, so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available. Also, it's a good idea to bring drinks and snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!

Captain Dylan Tracey made our trip an unforgettable experience! My kids and I had an absolute blast fish the ocean for the first time. We caught speckled trout, sail catfish, and even blacktip sharks! Dylan was friendly, easy to talk to, and kept us engaged throughout the trip. He was attentive—helping bait hooks, safely releasing fish, and making sure everyone was having a great time. We couldn’t have asked for a better captain and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fun and memorable fishing charter!

We were put on a ton of different species of fish including sharks! The captain was soo cool! Every time he saw that we weren’t catching fish as much as we should be, he had us move to a better spot. He even went as far as to climb underneath a dock to try and untangle a fish from some structure when it got snaged because he wanted us to catch it so bad! When filleting the fish he gave us some advice on how to cook some of the fish. He also played some amazing music.

Our Captain Dylan was not only very respectful and helpful, but very knowledgeable with the questions about fish and their habitats, all the way to history of the mainlands. We enjoyed him and the bantar on the boat we had all together. One of the things on my husband's bucket list was to catch a shark, and Dylan made it happen! We had been on charters before so we had some experience on what to expect but Dylan went above and beyond and we will be back!

His equipment was top-notch, and he handled all the details—baiting the hooks, helping cast the poles when needed, and even cleaning all of our fish afterward. Catain Dylan was excellent and personable! Very knowledgeable, kept bait on our hooks, and getting us an absolutely amazing amount of catches of several species of fish. My nephew caught a beautiful shark and I caught the biggest Snook I've ever seen in person! I would highly recommend and look forward to the next time I can book a trip with Hook and Snook charters!
