This was our second time out fishing with Juneau Adventures' Captain Jan, and it did not disappoint. We booked an 8hr combo trip and it was amazing. The FV Petryl 30 was comfortable and well equipped giving us a swift and smooth run to our fishing spots. We were on some cohos (silver salmon) shortly after. Deckhand Owen was great, courteous and super helpful with what we needed. He had the poles ready and was awesome answering our 10yr old kid's questions. We caught our limits on halibut, lots of salmon and rock fish. This crew was amazing and helped us make this trip unforgettable.
Captain Terry and Talon did an awesome job finding the fush we caught and helping with getting them sent home for us. Everyone on the trip caught fish. Great people to visit with and learn about the area. Would highly recommend these folks for your next fishing trip in Juneau!

The actual fishing experience was great, but getting to the boat was a nightmare. Need to have transportation provided to the boat dock. No one was there to help, and we wasted a lot of time trying to figure it out. It cost extra for us and should have been provided.

No one in my family is an angler, but on our Alaska cruise I still wanted to fish. Capt. Terry had a taxi waiting for me right off the boat and at the pier to take us back. I learned that fishing takes some work, and technique that we were trying to figure out. The crew was there helping all 6 of us to figure it out, and letting us learn how to do it instead of just reeling in a fish they caught. It would have been nice to come home with more fish, but it is fishing after all, not catching. I absolutely loved my day on the water, and I would definitely go back and book another trip with Capt. Terry. Next time, I’ll just make sure to spend a few days.
Juneau, Alaska, United States
Captain Terry was born and raised in Juneau and had spent his childhood in the best possible way – on the water with his family! Terry purchased his first boat when he was just 20 years old and used it to gain invaluable knowledge of the Southeast Alaskan waterways. Captain Terry has been fishing professionally for over 20 years.
