St Lucie Flats Fishing is based out of Fort Pierce, Florida, where Captain Adam White runs charter trips on the Indian River Lagoon and in the nearshore areas accessible through the Fort Pierce inlet.
Capt. Adam’s 22 foot Pathfinder is the perfect boat for the wide range of fishing options in the area. Not only can it float in a foot of water, it is also capable of handling much rougher waters out to sea. Equipped with Garmin electronics, a Power Pole Shallow water anchor, Minn Kota trolling motor and a VHF radio, it won’t let you down as you chase Redfish through the back bays or target Tarpon on the reefs close to shore.
Inshore trips with St Lucie Flats Fishing will involve exploring the mangrove islands, docks and spoil bars. Depending on your level of experience and location, you will be fishing with a variety of live and cut bait, as well as artificial lures if you like more of a challenge. Using 8-15lb spinning tackle, you will be targeting fish such as Sheepshead, Black Drum, Redfish, Trout, Snook, Snapper among others. If you decide to fish the inlet and nearshore areas, however, you will be using live bait and artificial lures with 15-30lb spinning tackle to target species such as larger Snook, Redfish, False Albacore, Tarpon and Jack Crevalle.
Not only does the Treasure Coast section of the Indian River offer fantastic fishing, it also hosts an array of stunning wildlife. Manatees, Dolphins and several species of shorebirds can be encountered on a daily basis around the mangroves. Join Capt. Adam to experience all this and more. Anglers of any age and experience are welcome on board: whatever you’re hoping to get out of your Fort Pierce fishing trip, Capt. Adam will do all he can to provide it for you.
