Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
Your vessel for the day is a 22’ Sundance saltwater fishing boat that holds up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Some essentials you’ll want to bring are sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you.

Capt. Hoyt was great! He was very knowledgeable about everything we were doing, and took the time to explain everything to us - he was very talkative! He catered the trip to exactly what we requested: many catches of some smaller fish (the bite was constant for snappers and grunts), as well as the excitement of landing two sharks. He was full service, taking every fish off the hook and baiting every hook when needed. We caught 10 total species, and everyone had a blast. 10/10, would recommend, and would definitely do again!

4 Hour Trip on June 2, 2025
We did the morning 4 hour fishing trip and we had a blast. Captain Watkins was very informative and did a great job getting our lines back in the water quickly after putting new bait or fixing lines. We brought our 11 year old son and he was very nice and patient with him and showed him tips on how to reel the fish in properly. Minutes later he reeled in a huge red grouper!! My father in law reeled in a Goliath grouper! In total we ended up taking home 11 fishes between snappers and grunts. Would definitely be back to enjoy another fishing day! Thanks captain for providing us a great experience!

Fantastic Family fishing trip

My family and I had a fantastic trip . WOW we even caught a 8 ft lemon shark and a ton a snappers. He was very informative about the area on our way out to our fishing spot. He even cleaned and fileted our fish and we had it cooked right next door. From the Ocean to our plate in an hour. Can't get much fresher then that.

Our party of 4 had a great time with Captain Joseph. He was ready when we got there, wasted no time, and had us catching fish within about 30 min. We caught numerous keeper snappers, a couple of grouper (released), and a nice sea trout. My 16 yr old grandson, son, and daughter-in-law all caught fish, as did I. We kept 7 for dinner, which we had that evening at Tonio’s, as per Joseph’s recommendation. It was a good day on the water with a knowledgeable, prepared guide.

I fell in love with fishing at 4 years old and never looked back; I’ve been fishing all over Florida since. As an Eagle Scout, I began my fishing career with the Boy Scouts of America of Summerland Key in 2012, taking groups of 8 fishing in the nearby waters. I’ve learned a lot over the years, found tons of fishing grounds in the area, know the seasons and conditions for what target species, and know the waterways well. I’ve fished with both kids and adults in high and low winds, rain or shine, maintaining a safe, fun fishing experience for all to enjoy. I have been successful and enjoy deep-dropping, wreck fishing, reef fishing, deep-reef, inshore, offshore, tarpon, spearfishing, and kite-fishing…from the waters of Marathon through the Lower Keys, down and around Key West. I want to share my passion and knowledge with my guests and show an incredible, memorable experience to inspire conservation and a love for fishing.
