Clayton Primrose Guide Service
Join Clayton Primrose Guide Service for an unforgettable day on the legendary waters of Sam Rayburn and East Texas.
Captain Clayton has been passionate about fishing from a young age, and that early dedication led him into competitive high school and college circuits, where he earned titles such as THSBA Angler of the Year and competed at a high level with East Texas Baptist University.
Today, he brings that same experience and enthusiasm to his clients, offering trips that are as educational as they are exciting. While he specializes in Largemouth Bass, Clayton also offers Crappie trips by request, giving anglers a chance to enjoy the variety these lakes have to offer.
Each trip is designed around your goals—whether you simply want to catch numbers and enjoy a relaxing day on the water, or you're looking for a more technical experience focused on tournament-style tactics, advanced electronics training, or coaching tailored to student anglers.
You'll fish from a fully equipped 21' Skeeter bass boat with room for up to three guests, with high-quality rods, reels, and lures provided. Live bait is available upon request, and family-friendly accommodations such as child-sized life vests can be arranged.
All you need to bring is a valid Texas fishing license, sunglasses, sunscreen, and any snacks or drinks you'd like (alcohol is permitted in moderation, though no glass bottles or hard liquor).
With Clayton Primrose Guide Service, you're not just booking a fishing trip—you're learning from a seasoned angler who combines competitive experience, a love for teaching, and a deep knowledge of East Texas waters to give you a day you'll never forget.

Clayton showed us how the sonar worked and what to look for to find fish. Caught good number of fish both days even though we were fishing right after a cold front. Recommend him for fihing Lake Sam Rayburn.
Took my two grandsons out crappie fishing with Captain Clayton. He was very patient with them and great about answering all their questions. Caught enough crappie to have a nice fish fry.
I bought this trip for my two adult sons. They reported that the guide did a great job knew what he was doing and was very friendly. They highly recommend him to other fisherman.

Clayton is very knowledgeable and really fun to fish with. Highly recommend! Great guide.
