Lonestar Hooker – Freeport 

The wild waters of Freeport are calling, and Lonestar Hooker is here to take you to them!

Here you won’t be far from inshore waters, including a few honey holes that only the locals can clue you in on. Your guide specializes in heavy tackle fishing, which is what you’ll be doing on the day of your trip. Ty will provide rods and reels and live bait.

These waters are home to Blacktip Shark, Bull Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Lemon Shark, Tiger Shark, Pompano, and more, depending on the season.

Any legal fish caught during the trip are yours to keep. Ty even offers to clean your catch for you so it’s hassle-free when you get home. Have a cooler ready in the car! All Sharks are catch-and-release.

Ty can take groups as large as 5 on this guided experience. You’ll be fishing without a boat, so expect to make your way on foot at least part of the time and come dressed for current weather conditions.

Be sure to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. Plan to dress in layers and appropriate footwear (if you aren’t sure what that means, just ask). It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen no matter the weather.
