Meador’s Guide Service invites you to fish with the locals out of Galveston, Texas. The waters of the Galveston Bay Complex have some of the finest inshore fishing grounds in the state. Your captain has fished all over the country, but came back home to guide on the Texas coast. He will gladly tell you why Redfish, Flounder, and Trout fishing are so good in Galveston. Or even better, he will show you!
Explore the Galveston’s inshore fishing potential by stepping aboard a 2021, 26’ Catalyst bay boat. Its single 300 HP Suzuki engine will power you to the fishing grounds in comfort and style. There is plenty of room for up to 4 anglers so feel free to bring your kids with you. The vessel is prepared for the bite with its navigational electronics, an icebox, and a live well.
Whether you want a short ride to the fishing grounds to test the water or you are looking for a full day adventure, Meador’s Guide Service will cater to your specific need. The captain will introduce you to jigging, popping, drift fishing, and fishing with light tackle if you have never held a rod in your hands. You can also test yourself in wading, just make sure to bring appropriate clothing.
In order to make a great catch possible, you will be provided with quality rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Your captain will send your catch home cleaned and filleted so that you could get your dinner sorted out. You will only need to purchase a license and bring something to eat and drink.
Live bait comes at an additional cost and it depends on the number of people and type of trip. It is charged at the market rate as follows:
Live Croaker are $10 USD per dozen.
Live Shrimp are $20 USD per quart.

I learned so much from Captain Tim, this was my first time out with a charter. His knowledge is top notch and he’s also a funny guy. Would recommend 10/10. Captain Tim put us on a ton of bites always moving around looking for a better spot. Will be back.

Capt Tim knew the spots and never let us sit somewhere not catching fish for long. He was on the phone with other guides always trying to find the hot spots. We caught at least 25 different fish, including sting rays and sharks. Got our limit and had a fantastic fried trout dinner. Capt Tim took care of everything. We would definitely do this again.

Tim was so patient with my 8 and 12 year old. He works so hard to keep a bait constantly on the lines. We had a blast. Will definitely do this again. We hit our trout limit in about 3 hours. My daughter caught a massive 40 lb. black drum that she will never forget. What a great time. Guided fishing trips are the way to go. Bringing home a lot of fish to eat.

We had a great experience fishing with Captain Tim. He finds you the fish, and moves when they stop biting. We had a great time on his boat. Thanks again Captain Tim!
