If you're ready to love fishing in Galveston, look no further than UpScale Anglers. Captain Tyler and his team of experienced captains bring aboard years of local experience.
These waters are known for Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Bull Shark, Hammerhead Shark, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. On the day of your trip, you're likely to use light or heavy tackle.
Feel free to keep some of the fish you catch within the legal limit. Our captains will even clean your catch for you. How's that for fresh seafood?
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly! Cold bottled water is provided.
You'll be welcome aboard a 26' Center console with space for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials.
Rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided.
Anyone ages 17 years and older who is fishing needs a Texas saltwater fishing license (with Red Drum and Speckled Trout tag if you want to keep any of those you catch) before the trip. These are available at local retailers such as Academy Sports & Outdoors. They may be purchased in advance at **hidden content**. Bull Red and Speckled Trout (depending on size) require a tag to keep them, so make sure you have those tags.
Some essentials you'll want to bring are sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and drinks (no glass containers please). Ice cold bottled water is provided.

Great Family Trip
4 Hour Trip – Bay/Jetty on November 15, 2025 • 5 adults
My family and I had an incredible trip with Upscale Anglers in Galveston. Captain Adam and Deckhand Tristen run a tight ship—they’re fun to be around, they know the water like the back of their hand, and they kept us on the fish all day.
My son landed his personal best Bull Red, and I came within inches of topping mine. My wife and daughter caught more fish than they ever have on a trip, and the crew stayed on top of everything—rebaiting, resetting lines, and making sure we were always fishing, not waiting.
Great people, great energy, and a great day on the water. We’ll be back, no question.

For those reading this, you WILL have fun. This team had been in constant communication with me from the day i booked my trip. We had the pleasure of having Anthony and Sean guide us along the water. They educated those in our group who didnt know how to fish into building the confidence to be able to hook a huge bullshark. They keep us busy in the sense that we keep just catching fish. They also educated us on the type of fish we caught. Never the less I highly recommend this team if you want to go out and have a great time. Dont be shy book with them and i promise you, you WONT regret it. Overall in simple word thia trip was FUN.

Man I
was getting worried that we had booked a trip on one of those days when the fish arent bitting. We werent getting any big bites at first, just bait fish and some little fish you dont want to keep. The Captain was geeting just as mad about no big fish as we were, which made me feel better because he wasnt just like oh well the fish arent bitting. He took us to one last spot before our time ran out and got us hooked on to three good size Reds. The deck hand and the captain both were awesome, probably one of the better fishing trips I’ve been on in Galveston. I will definitely be fishing with Captain Anthony and Upscale Anglers again!!

Epic Fishing trip with Captain Colton
4 Hour Trip – Bay/Jetty on May 23, 2025 • 3 adults
Upon arrival, boat was clean and ready to go. Cpt Colton introduced himself and loaded my party of 3 and departed promptly at 0700. By 0730 we had keeper trout on the boat. He kept us on fish the entire 4 hour trip. He was professional, communicated consistently, kept the hooks baited, and assisted as needed the entire trip. He kept a smile on our face the entire time. Extremely fun and memorable trip. Catching a ton of fish including bull reds, slot red, black drum, pompano, trout, and sheepshead was great, but Cpt Colton made our time fishing and catching quite the experience.
