Although I don’t typically write reviews I wanted to leave one here today for a couple reasons. Firstly the reviews other anglers left helped me make a smart choice by selecting Edward Teach charters. Being I grew up on the water fishing, sailing and surfing I don’t say this lightly when I report that captain Dalton is not only a fisherman but a true waterman. He and his crew are truly world class. The boat is spectacular, his mate is fantastic and they honestly care their charter has an enjoyable experience. I read in previous reviews that he was good with children and my 11 yr old son is already asking when can we go back. Thank you Dalton and Ramona - sincerely - thank you!

PJ thank you so much for the awesome review! It really means a lot, especially coming from someone who knows their way around the water. We’re stoked you and your son had a great time out there with us. Ramona and I had a blast having you both on board, and you can tell your son you guys are welcome back anytime. You guys seriously made our day. Can’t wait to see you guys again soon—until then, stay salty and tight lines! — Captain Dalton & Ramona
We recently had an unforgettable family fishing trip near Catalina Island, specifically around Avalon. The experience was truly special, as we were able to spend quality time together on the water. Although the Marlin and Dorado weren’t biting, we did manage to catch a sheepshead, which added to the excitement of the day. One of the highlights of our trip was seeing plenty of dolphins. Watching them in their natural habitat was a magical experience that we will cherish. The scenic beauty of Catalina Island and the charm of Avalon made the outing even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic trip, and we look forward to exploring more fishing locations in the future. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a memorable fishing adventure with family!

Hi Mel it was truly a pleasure to have you and your family on our charter, and you guys are welcome back any time.
Captain Dalton took 7 young men on a fishing trip this past weekend! Although Captain Dalton explained the bite was not ideal for the past week he offered to cancel our trip to insure we got our bang for the buck! These boys are from Colorado and were up for just a boat ride well from catching a couple fish, leisure boat ride to dolphins they had a great time! Thank you Captain for working extra hard for these young men ending their senior trip with memories for life! You will be the go to when we are in Huntington! Much Aloha! Kaleo

It was great having that group of young men on the boat, they were were awesome very respectful, eager to learn and just had really good attitudes. You guys are welcome anytime! Have fun in college and Go Buffs and Go Gators!
Dalton took myself and my three sons on our first ocean fishing trip. He did a great job finding the fish even if we were not lucky (or skilled) in our fishing. The boat was awesome and very clean. Dalton was knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. We all had a wonderful time and look forward to the next trip!!

Hi Luke it was great having you guys on board, you are welcome back anytime.

Took my 4 grandsons (3 of them 8-10 yrs old) fishing along with their dads and we caught 1 sand bass but the real experience was driving out fast, seeing all the dolphins swim next to the boat, and throwing the anchovies to the seals on the buoys. Also Dalton let each of the boys drive his boat. Great experience they will always remember. Thanks!!

Hi Ken, we had a great time with you guys on board, you and your family were great and glad the kids had fun. You guys are always welcome back on board.

Capt. Dalton runs trips out of Huntington Beach aboard a 29' ProKat. These waters are known for Rockfish and Mahi Mahi and he will show you how to catch them, whether you're jigging or trolling. With years of experience, he has a trick or two up his sleeve, and the only way to learn is to join him out on the water!
