I am Captain Rick Medeiros. Welcome aboard On The Edge, a remarkable modern vessel crafted by Grady-White. Designed for comfort and excitement, she accommodates up to four adults with ease, and up to six if accompanied by children. Completely retrofitted in 2022, On The Edge boasts a powerful, yet quiet Suzuki 300 HP engine. We prioritize safety, ensuring all equipment is current and ready for your journey. Just bring your favorite snacks, drinks, sunscreen (lotion only, please), and a cooler to keep your catch fresh; we will supply the rest, including all necessary licensing, fishing gear and bait.

Great trip
We just had a great 4 hour fishing trip with On the Edge Charters. It was a windy day so pretty choppy on the water, but Rick was great and made the fishing easy. We caught sea bass and a ton of scups. Had the weather been better we would have gone to another fishing ground but his pivot worked well and we still caught a lot of fish. Rick was responsive and communicated well throughout the process. We would definitely go out with him again in the future and recommend him to anyone looking for a great day fishing out of the Dartmouth/New Bedford area.

Such an awesome fishing day with the family!
Our family had the best time fishing with Captain Rick! He was so helpful to my 10 and 12 year old boys and we caught so many fish the minute we started dropping lines. We ended up with a bunch of keepers! He was super knowledgeable but also just really friendly and made sure we had a really great experience. My 10 year old even caught a sand shark!! My kids were smiling from ear to ear the whole time. We can’t wait to go out again when we come back next year! Thank you Captain Rick!!

Excellent Fishing Trip
Capt Rick’s seamanship and knowledge of the fish is outstanding. We were out in less than ideal conditions and we had little problem catching fish. We did have to change up what we were doing due to waves and winds. We also had to end early. Safety is of the highest importance to Capt Rick and he was professional, responsible and got us a quick refund for hours missed. I highly recommend him for anything you’re planning on the water.

Amazing trip!
Recently we were fortunate enough to spend the afternoon with Captain Rick for a four hour trip off the shore. There were 5 of us and we all had a blast. He knew exactly where to go and kept us pulling them in the whole time. We brought home several keepers after he cleaned and filleted them. Rick did a great job showing us things around the area and sharing his knowledge (did you know there’s an old sunken pirate ship in the bay??!).

Great Day On The Water!
My family of five have done many different fishing charters on the Cape and Rick was up there with the greats! From the Grady White to his knowledge of the waters to the fish we caught. It was an all around delivery of a fantastic fishing adventure. All three of my kids caught so many fish as did my wife and I and we all loved cruising the waters with this local and very seasoned fisherman. Highly recommend and can’t wait to book again!!
