Book your next trip with Valhalla Fishing Charters and find out what keeps anglers coming back to New Port Richey for more.

Amberjack, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Red Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Hogfish, Grunt, Gray Triggerfish, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Spanish Mackerel, and more inhabit these waters if conditions are right.

You’ll target your catch by fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

You’ll be dropping lines from a 22’ Cuddy cabin with a capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Water and Gatorade will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Lunch is provided upon request, just reach out to learn more, especially if you have any dietary needs.
