Chasing Chrome Guide Service
If fishing in Salmon River is on your bucket list, look no further than Chasing Chrome Guide Service. Having logged many hours on these rivers, Jared is prepared to put you on fish.
Local species include Steelhead, Brown Trout, Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, and more with any luck. You can expect to do some drifting to target your fish. Bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunblock. Alcohol is allowed in moderation.
You’ll be welcome aboard a 16’ Drift boat that can carry up to 2 passengers. Jared will supply rods and reels for you. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself. Children are allowed, so feel free to bring a kid.
Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. You’re welcome to keep any legal fish you catch.

Great Sister's Fishing Excursion
My sister and I wanted to try salmon fishing for the first time, and Jared, our guide, did an amazing job helping us learn the ropes! For two middle age women with fairly little fishing experience, this could have been a stretch to find success and fun, but it was fantastic. Jared was great giving us tips, answering our questions, and helping us land our two salmon. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and hard working. I learned a lot and had great fun on a beautiful day, and had a rare adventure with my sister, who is from out of state. We highly recommend Jared!

Fun First Trip
We had a great time, this was my first time fishing in general with my boyfriend. The area is beautiful and quiet. Jared was vey responsive since we first booked our trip he answered all of our questions and concerns, he is a very knowledgeable guide and made me feel at ease since I have zero fishing experience. We started on little salmon river with no luck. So Jared says let's pack up and go to oswego. I know there is fish there. And he was right. We should have limited out but I lost two fish. And we had enough for one day. Jared is awesome!!!!
