If you’re ready to go fishing in Key Largo, we’ve got you covered with Off–Ice Charters.
Catch Snook, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, Goliath Grouper, Blacktip Shark, Bonnethead Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Nurse Shark, Redfish, and more are in the cards if conditions are right. You can expect to do some spinning or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. AUSTIN also offers fly fishing on the flats or backcountry.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 19’ Skiff with space for 3 passengers. It comes with everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. AUSTIN will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
Have in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
A few items to bring include bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
You will need to provide your own flordia fishing license.

Nice, no stress fishing trip

Capt Austin did an excellent job. We were looking for a stress free trip on the water. We caught plenty of mangrove snappers. Probably could have limited out twice. Capt Austin was polite, helpful and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed are charter very much and look forward to fishing with him again during tarpon season when the mullet are running and the water is a bit warmer. thank you so much!!

Fun family memories!

Capt Austen is great! We weren't experienced with this type of fishing and he gave us good tips and pointers. He was kind enough to help my 5 year old with his rod and had him hooking up easily. We went on an unfortunately cold day but we were still able to catch some snappers. I appreciate how family friendly this experience was for us. We would love to come back and we'd recommend booking a trip.

I went with my son and a couple of his friends not really expecting too much, but Captain Austin brought us to places where the mangrove snapper were biting as soon as we threw the lines in. we did the 4-Hour trip but the time went by so quick we decided next time we'll probably do a 6 or 8 hour trip with him. he also filled the fish when we got back. well worth the money and don't forget to tip the captain. Also he knows more than most people about the area and the locations that are best for fishing.

We had an amazing time on our fishing trip in the Keys with Austin! We were hoping to hook a tarpon, and while we managed to get one on the line, we weren’t able to bring it to the boat — but that didn’t take away from the experience one bit. We caught some trout and bait fish, and Austin knew exactly where to go and shared tons of fishing tips with our son, which made the trip even more special.
The ride through the mangroves was absolutely beautiful, and the weather couldn’t have been better. One thing that really stood out to us was how thoughtful Austin was — he even texted us earlier in the day to recommend a better time than what we originally booked, ensuring we had the best chance at a successful trip. That kind of honesty and consideration is hard to find, and it made all the difference.
Austin is a great captain, and we can’t recommend him enough if you’re looking for a fun, knowledgeable, and all-around fantastic fishing guide.

Cold keys but the fish couldn’t hide

Captin Austin showed my wife and I a great day on the flats and in the mangroves. I heard it was the coldest few days they’ve had in the keys in 20 years but we hits a few spots and found the fish. Was a beautiful day on the water and an unforgetable experiance. Thanks again!
